I have to say I really like it, obviously not perfect. AI seems a little strange sometimes. Graphics are great, I'm playing a mix of high and medium settings with 2xAA and averaging about 35 fps, can't remember seeing it drop much below 30 tbh.
As Good as You'd Hoped it Would Be
Hugely disappointed With IT
Not A Bad Game But Nothing New

Played on medium, 1024, no AA and FPS was OK - tried at 1600x1200 and it was like playing in syrup, rubbish.

With other Nvidia and ATi cards. The GTX is still faster than the GT, only a little though.

For those of you moaning, here's a post I just made about the performance..

Not one for me I'm afraid.
My PC isn't the fastest in the world with an A64 3500 and a 7900GT OC. Games like UT3 and Bioshock play beautifully smoothly and look really pretty on it though.
This on the other hand runs like a three legged Mexican donkey on sedatives at 800x600 with everything set to low, and yes, I have "upgraded" the driver to the latest 169.01.
With the settings that my rig can manage I've seen better graphics in games 10 years ago.
Runs great on my rig (inc 8800GTS) @1920x1200. Using 6.14.11.6371 version of drivers. All settings at medium and it still looks amazing. Prefer gaming at native res with AA off etc - still looks very good.
Cool Demo - but not going to rush out and get it - i still need to complete Farcry
Been playing more and enjoying it (on my x1800 aiw rig)
Once I get out into the beach area and the sun rises, it's much more playable. Completed the demo but I think I'll play a few more time to explore the 'super modes'.

I'm on an uber slow internet connection. Started the download overnight, and when I got up it was finished. Ran the install and it said some of the files were corrupt....'please download again'
That performance review on Tweaktown is less than useless as this game is not meant to be played in DX9.
BTW, the 169.01 Beta drivers crash the demo on the intro screens on my system. Weird.
Just because it was optimised for DX10 doesn't mean it's not meant to be played in DX9, the majority of people are still running XP systems rather than Vista. And so long as all the variables (i.e the hardware and the OS) are kept the same while changing the graphics cards, it remains a perfectly valid and useful test.
Anyone played with the sandbox editor yet? You can drive tanks, apcs, fly helicopters use a mini nuke weapon and miniguns.

Hell and Fire was spawned to be released.
Plays like treacle on 8800gtx, oc e6600 running at 1920x1200 at medium quality. A pity as I was looking forward to it. Maybe the final release will be better.
