I'm not sure which site I saw it on yesterday, but I seem to recall reading that Diablo III would use the same online service as Diablo and Diablo II - i.e. Battle.net

I tried to find by discs for D2 and D2 LoD yesterday but I've no idea where they are. Think I may have left 'em at an old house! I do still have the CD keys though.

Diablo has to be the top grinding game of all time.

But it is immersive. It's one of the handful of games that you think an hours gone by and 4 have.

In fact I reinstalled it last night and now have a lev13 Paladin.

    Re: DIablo 3 anounced :D

I loved being the palading just for that one power that let you hit multiple enemies around you really quickly. Was it called Zeal? Geist - have a look on the upgrade tree for me

But power that baby up, get any decent powered/leeching/poisoning/burning/freezing weapon, let everyone congregate around you, then BAM... loved my paladin... Bought LoD, but never got round to playing it - was at uni and eventually had better things to do (I know - the blasphemy!!!)

Zeal: Allows you to attack multiple adjacent enemy's with one attack.

    +number of attacks; +damage; +attackpower

Although I've gone done offensive auras...

    Re: DIablo 3 anounced :D

I just had a look on Battle.net and there doesn't seem to be an option to just download and install Diablo II! It isn't on Steam either. Is buying the disc the only legit way of getting the game? I've already got CD keys.

    Re: DIablo 3 anounced :D

Most games stores including Game and Gamestation usually have a buy one get one half price or something similar. You can get D2 and LoD in this usually, even HMV do this offer most times. So you should be able to pick it up for a mere £15 approx.

    Re: DIablo 3 anounced :D

I would reinstall too... buuut, I realise that its going to look really pants at 640x480 on a 24" monitor... if only there was a hack or something to enable the resolution to be upped...

That said, if I cant find my discs - which i probably wont, then I might just have to play Titan quest and the expansion for my click-click fix....

    Re: DIablo 3 anounced :D

It looks the same on a 24" screen as a 14" tbh... to busy watching the map / killing things

That little screenshot I posted before was not resized. I just clipped it to be just the character.

Annoyingly I've lost the expansion cd key so no battle net for me.

Played the demo of Titan Quest but never felt like getting the full game for some reason.

    Re: DIablo 3 anounced :D

Titan Quest wasnt as good IMO, but the mythology lore, and the creatures that you played against were still pretty cool - but not a patch on the denizens of hell The armour and weapons are still pretty decent, and was worth a play - it did make me wish that it was Diablo though...

Finally watched all of the gameplay demo - it seems great to me... Look beautiful and I cant wait til it comes out... Shame it will be so long though! And they better still have the paladin in there...
