    Re: Fifa 09 News!

Can't wait for this to come out, i'm an avid fan of the Fifa series. Used to play on the PC until they started the dodgy ports. I'm glad they will be bringing out a proper pc version. Fifa 08 certainly was alot better than previous versions, I only played the demo of Euro 08 but thought if pleyed even better than fifa. My m8 was a Pro evo fan boy but as soon as he played Fifa 08 he converted. I think alot of pro evo fans have done this, but I fully expect pro evo to hit back.

    Re: Fifa 09 News!

pro evo to fifa convert. Well started playing FIFA international soccer on the mega drive, then switched to PES at around PES 2/3 on ps2. PES 2008 is the sux, so tried FIFA2k8, its great. Be a pro mode is so good... running tings as Mr Paul Scholes ;D

No need for fanboyism, fifa2k8 > pes 2008 so play fifa. Lets see what 09 brings

    Re: Fifa 09 News!

Looking at the screenshots and trailers i might have to buy both

They are both shaping up looking good, i just hope they bring demos out before release so i can see which one i like the best.

    Re: Fifa 09 News!

Just had a wee peek at the PC demo; at last - proper, 'next-gen' graphics, but WHAT'S UP WITH THE LACK OF SHADOWS? Yes, I know, this a demo, I hope the shadows are present and correct in the full game...

Oh, and what pissedme off in FIFA 09, is the fact that you can't play with/against different leagues, YOU HAVE TO PAY TO GET OTHER LEAGUES! Nice one EA!
This hot girl came over to myspace last night, she twittered my yahoo till I
googled all over her facebook. Ask Jeeves...

    System 1: Intel i5-2500k OC STABLE @5.05ghz with a ThermaTake Frio (air power!), 8Gb 1600 (9-9-9-24) R3 Patriot G2 RAM, nVidia GTX980TI ;

    Re: Fifa 09 News!

thats not right afaik, you get all the leagues but to get the up to the minute stats changes you need to pay extra for more than your home country. You get one league free, additionals are more. But then again would you want up to the minute changes for anything other than the league you follow.

indeed There's nothing quite relaxing than seeing Arsenal's midfield with the ball and then the ginger ninja flying in with a hefty tackle (quite like real life in many aspects... well the Scholes tackling bad, not Arsenal controlling a midfield)

I've got both Fifa and PES and to be honest FIFA got the most play out of the two.

Hopefully, they've left free-kicks alone as I've just figured how to bend it like beckham from 25-30 yards out

    Re: Fifa 09 News!

PC demo is bugging me, it looks better than the 360. But it just won't get the controls right, i'm trying to select RT on the 360 controller for sprint but it won't take it. I've tried a couple of other changes as well that wouldn't work. (just trying to get the controls on the 360 pad the same as it is on the 360)

Also despite having the 2 buttons the same lofted through ball works on the 360 and not on the PC demo, the ball just gets hoofed down the field?

The 360 demo was enjoyable, but tbh after that faults with the PC demo i'm even more enclined to wait to see what PES are doing. I don't want to pay that much more for the same game on the 360 as the PC version won't take the control inputs
