Never tried that but i usually use the gears to prevent rolling, but when im going round a corner and attempt to slide the car the handbrakes have no affect

and the tv cameras dont give me that, all can do is make videos like the on in this post: http://forums.hexus.net/1623335-post42.html

This is a racing simulator, not need for speed! If you have to slide then use weight transfer (lift off) to break rear traction, or stamp the throttle on a RWD car when you're already turning and have enough front end grip not to understeer.

I find myself sliding rather too often with mini's

lol yeh but still would of expected some use of the handbrake oh well, thing with some of the FWD cars is they understeer badly on certain tracks, tried different settings but havent come up with a good setup, i hate the minis though they understeer horribly, so frustrating, i have managed to do powerslides with the Accord though albeit not intentionally haha

Why? They don't use one in real life track racing!

oh well, thing with some of the FWD cars is they understeer badly on certain tracks, tried different settings but havent come up with a good setup, i hate the minis though they understeer horribly, so frustrating, i have managed to do powerslides with the Accord though albeit not intentionally haha
It is just setup and/or driving style. Once I started lifting off I found the minis quite easily go to oversteer instead.

    Re: GTR EVO thread

    There's a new F1 09 mod available.

    http://www.nogripracing.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=140301

Just follow the link, i've got no idea if kers is working or how to use it (if indeed it is functioning?) and i havn't got any sound for the BMW cars but it's still a decent mod and the best of the F1 mods available.

    Some screens

Doesn't include the tracks, but there all available (i think)

Certainly one of the better mods though, great fun. And the 'diffuser' cars really do handle better than the others.

Times, very quickly..........in the F1 cars Give us a time and the car you used and we can try an match it.

    That's a nice vid though

They've recently released the top gear police car skins for the Honda accord which look pretty good.
    http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=19516

Strange thing though, on their website they have another expansion for the game. With WTCC 2008, US muscle cars, formula masters and the STCC game.
    http://www.simbin.se/games/race_on.htm

Don't think they've told anyone though as i can't seem to find the info for it anywhere else. Not for pre order at play and no online gamer sites seem to have it. Yet it's down for a Q2 release?

Although i am looking forward to some new content and tracks. The Formula masters, the Lada 110s and the Volvos in the WTCC 08 will be good fun. The Seat Leon TDI have been modded already though and i just could not get used to changing gear at 4000 rpm.
The US muscle cars should be good fun though, if a little challenging.

There was an info spot on simbins website somewhere aswell where they were talking about being able to load up actual racing drivers laps for you to race against, but don't know if it's gonna make it with this or with there all new game with eagerly awaited new Lizzard game engine.

Still though this add on will give me a plenty of extra racing

Seeing this thread has made me realise just how much I miss playing this game and am now looking a buying a new racing wheel for my PC, seeing as all the ones I have are dead

I do want a G25 but missed out of the £99 ones so am looking at a Thrustmaster ForceFeedback job for £42.
