From the short demo the game is awesome, expert mode is a little easy though.

    Graphics wise... it's pretty good
I haven't played it enough to give a decent comparison - I'll get back to you later.

    Re: Left 4 Dead

The graphics are good.. nothing groundbreaking. its done with a slightly grainy "film" effect but the shadows and lighting really help set the mood..
However the character animations are fantastic and very lifelike... having a hoarde run towards you really is scary.. and if you for example shoot the leg of a zombie running towards you, he will stumble before falling flat on his face

The thing to remember is that this is powered by the source engine, which is possibly the most scaleable graphics engine available so it will run very well on very modest hardware.

    Re: Left 4 Dead

It looks and feels great in my opinion, but I do have a soft spot for the source engine.

Also, I wasn't convinced about the gameplay until I played it on expert. So much more fun.

Most fun I've had in quite a while - spend a few hours playing it yesterday, but for some reason generally end up playing with french dudes.
I'm impressed with the demo, and the auto shotty gives me a nice warm feeling inside

If you preorder from Amazon with supersaver, will you get it on launch day or be likely to wait?
