Hrm..Im on around 37 or 38,000. I didn't do alot of killing last night, just picked up my canister and ran for the end!
How's your mate Will finding L4D? We should dump him in a versus game and see his reaction!
He now understands why I like it so much... he said "its like a hysterical version of rainbow six".
He did shoot me rather a lot! think we need to work on that.
Might dig out fraps at some point and video some of the carnage.

I've made a steam group for L4D players who had trouble finding people for versus games who weren't incompetent randoms or ragequitters heh.
Most people seem to be finding it useful as they can get a much better experience out of a friends only game.
There's already a couple of hexus users already in it so if anyone else here is interested because I'm always looking to add more players.
Please feel free to ask myself, G4Z or Neonplanet either here or over the hexus steam group and we'll happily invite you.

The trouble is, I just play for a laugh and for some fun. I been invited to friends only versus "just for fun" but it always ends up the same; they all get upset/angry that they are losing (or whatever) and just become competitive a-holes**. Not that I am saying your group is like that but I just prefer larking about than hardcore playing. I do see the benefit of such a group though; I did a quick versus game search and joined a game in progress however I was vote kicked from the server within 20 seconds - I hadn't even had the chance to spawn (as an infected) yet.
EDIT:** Then comes the "who invited who" blame session.

Format!, you always ask me way to early to play, I can't get on my main PC till 10 most days
Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?
I'm in the same category as sleepy head, I'm just out for a laugh. L4D is a funny game, lots of room for messing about...

LoL 2am. It's ok if it's on a weekend (for me). You should turn steam off TAKTAK when you aren't there
I can understand sleepyhead's and zadock's sentiments as admittedly there are 2 or 3 people in my steam group who do have a tendecy to moan if someone makes a gaffe or 2.
I think the general consensus for most players in it is that if your're willing to listen and make an effort then it doesn't really matter if you're winning or losing as long as everyone's enjoying the game.
Anyway my invitation still stands if you want to reconsider, you can just try out the group and see if you like playing with the people in it and if not you can always leave it heh.
Format I've sent an invite your way, I'll be about tonight if you or anyone else here cares for a game.
Its loads of fun killing e-lan-go

I don't moan at players doing stupid stuff, just try and explain what to do in the future. Although I pretty much exclusively play with my 2 flatmates and a friend from round the corner. We all started playing at the same time so we're all pretty familiar with the game
I'll be interested to see if L4D takes off competitively.
