There is a demo planned for it, should be out next week I think. As for episode 3 may 2009 at the earliest

I love the look of this game the Demo is out on Halloween I hear and will wait to see how it plays before purchase but at the moment it is my next intended buy.

The demo will be released for mass (brain) consumption on November 11. According to Valve, the demo will be available up until the game's retail release on November 18.

Im hoping for the addictiveness/playability of TF2, but on a closer more "personal" scale with just 4 co-op players.

Judging purely by their previous record of games, there is good reason to have a certain amount of 'hype' behind this. TF2 - excellent. Hl2 - Excellent. CS:S - Massively Popular. Day of Defeat - Great.
