Yup, they all have massive hands, I spotted that. I like it, the visuals aint the best but its not about that. Story telling seems tight and the combat works well.

They are absurdly big, especially on the female characters, I imagine they have no need for spades in their land.

I put gloves on my character so it's less noticable, she's a cute and bolshy city elf who doesn't take no crap from humans.

sorry to be random - the Narrators voice on the trailer for this (and maybe in the game) is muallim from Assassins creed . . .it was breaking my mind on where i knew that voice from!

but any who - a good weekends play: how are you still finding the game?

Picked it up on Friday and I'm maybe 3-4 hours in....I must confess I'm really enjoying it so far.

Looking forward to getting stuck in to the full story!

A solid 8/10 so far. If you crossed NWN2 with The Witcher this is the game that'd pop out. Very fun to play but not perfect. Certainly the best game from Bioware in some time.

    Re: Dragon Age: Origins

Talking on Bioware, noticed Mass Effect on Steam is currently priced at £6.49. Absolute bargain for such a great game.

I was thinking myself that it was kind of like The Witcher, areas arnt quite as big on Dragon Age though

    Re: Dragon Age: Origins

    18.5 hours in.

    12% complete.

I started with a Mage, and was pretty dissapointed early on, in fact nearly re started with warrior after watching my flat mate take on some of the early fights with ease, but stuck with it, and glad I did.

    Arcane Mage is awesome.

Game is so deep, story line is excellent, and side quests etc are a lot of fun.

All in this is the best game I have played in a long time, and I include Fallout and AMss effect in that, really superb.

I was thinking the same. My character is a mage (not specialised yet) and I was having a rough time in some of the early battles. I'm level 8 now (I think) and things are starting to get a little easier. I took some time for the combat to click with me though.

I also have a bag full of runes and not a single weapon with rune slots. Starting to wonder if I'm missing something now!

    Re: Dragon Age: Origins

Yeah rune slot weapons dont come until about level 8/9 afaik

and as for the mage, just keep your point for the arcane spec, and you wont regret it.

I am as strong as a warrior now - a little constitution less, and yet my spells make me an animal in a fight.

I can take on most of the fights alone, tanking with potions that i can make pretty freely and using my Lightning etc to aoe the enemys to hell n back.

Overpowered a little tbh, but i just moved the game to the hard setting.

Rune slots? I'm level 12 and I've not seen any. You use runes to enchant normal weapons - see an enchanter.

I'm trying to find a trainer at the minute, once I hit level 7 I was offered a specialisation but you have to get to a trainer first. Anyone got any ideas where they are for warriors

Trying to sneak a spoiler in here?

If people could PM replies to him rather than spoil this thread I'd be grateful

Took my weapons to an enchanter (the first that you come across to avoid any spoiler) and they wouldn't touch any of them, said I had no weapons to enchant. Perhaps I'm missing something...
