Cant say video play back interests me that much, besides which will you be able to write to these UMD disks? will you have to buy a new sony no doubt expensive writer?

If not i dont see the point in it... how will you be able to carry around all your copious amounts on free internet porn!

I had just been taken hat off to. Remember the ebay item i posted here:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...sPageName=WDVW
Someone asked a question, but not the usual "Ugh. Is this a link or is this a PSP. Ugh. Mmmmm. Donuts. Mmmmm. Doh!". He actually appreciated what i was doing and took his hat off to me! Yay

I think Sony has a different opinion--The latest issue of EGM suggested that Sony is thinking about pricing the PSP at ~160 USD, shocking the world (and American financial analysts).

Sony has already released in Japan at a price which works out about £90, but the stocks are so low at the moment the retailers are pretty much charging what they like for them.

Lik Sang aren't expecting any volume production until mid-late January.

I'll let peeps know how the pricing goes

Yup, personally though I'd hold out for the US/European Release as you have to pay a whopping £68 pounds on import tax (£58 Insurance, £10 Brokerage iirc from the receipt I got with my package from Lik-Sang), bringing the total to about £296 for the Value Pack and £264 for the Standard Pack. That is without any games.

Either that or wait for an onshore retailer like GBAX to reduce the price.

M<id january is not long, and at ~£120 after postage and import tax it would be a steal, cause you just know it'll be at least £160 over here

Not that the price itself bothers me, just the relation of the price to other markets. I was expecting to pay £300 when i first heard of it.

I'll buy one as soon as you can get the games in English - so if the Yank release is before the European, I'll get one then, probably from GBAX, as you say... seems a decent place.
