Or a simple coordinated interception with low cost high speed ground forces, bombers and air defence... and it actually works..

By the time the forces break through your interception forces, your base defences will just need to pick them off like tin cans as almost 50% is already gone..

I'm guessing the ones who find it boring are playing on easy, where really theres no tactics needed. On normal and hard it becomes much more tactical.

Though on hard mode i just gave up with fighting battles an built the huge experimental artillery. Cost 30,000 energy a shot but it can fire about 2 a second constantly to anywhere on the map, so yah i won that one

    Hmmmm.

It's boring. It takes an age to get anything decent built. The music and unit voices are non existant. it really doesn't look very good at all.

    Iam very disapointed.

I presume the music will be in the full version - the demo was already big enough! They could have left out the intro movie and saved a coupla hundered meg though....

I built up a decent tech 2/3 army in 30 mins (just queue up orders and increase the game speed) and kept flash raiding his base to keep his economy down then had tech 3 and some experimentals by an hour, the battle was over by 1:20.

Fair enough if you didn't like the game, but as an RTS fan I really like this one.. feels great when you really lay into someone's base I like the interface and scale of things too. Main problem I have is the control system, the commander seems especially unresponsive sometimes, not sure why.

Anyway, I played the demo campaign through all in two sittings and not many games will captivate my attention for that long. I've already pre-ordered so bring on the 16th of Feb!

Only completed the first mission so far and had about an hundred units against the end base, no slow down at all. Presumably skirmish taxes it a lot more?

You got yer flow of resources managed right, try to build too much and it takes ages to do anything. It's a mistake alot of people make. Once you know the game it doesn't take that long to start churning out the top tier units.

Experimental units can take a while to build, but theres a good reason for that, they are really powerful.

Quick newbie Q: How do I get the commander to be able to produce higher tech stuff? I can get t3 engineers to do it, but the commander upgrades just seem to be able weapons etc.

if you want the commanders build speed on t3 stuctures, just order your ACU to assist a t3 engineer and then he will help with whatever the t3 eng builds, meaning it will get done faster
