I eat four or five bananas a day and a few grapes. At lunch I have a salad with tomatoes, lettuce, mushrooms and some oily fish or lean meat. I eat too much cheese!

My parents love fruit (all types), mangoes, bananas, apples, grapes, passion fruit, kiwi, plums you name it and I'll most likely have it. If it was not for them I don't think I would have much, as I'm more of junk food person. I still average about 3 to 4 pieces of fruit a day. However put a mars bar or an apple in front of me, and I'll take the mars bar every time.
I eat lots of fruit and veg, Cranberries and Gogi berries to keep me healthy.
I'm also a vegetarian.
all the fruit will be mouldy by now
I don't seek out fruit to munch, if its there I'll eat it. Veg though, every day. Thats what a meal is, isn't it, veg and meat?
Peeps who don;t eat veg because its 'yucky' in their 20s make me laugh, I'm like - dude, are you 7? Do you want me to do the airplane\spoon thing?
Ah well, might as well use this thread discuss even though it is an old one.
For me a meal just need something that has carbs (such as rice, pasta or bread) and meat. If there is veg, then I'll eat it but my typical meal doesn't have much of it.
Anyway, I've been buying (and eating) £20 worth of fruit each week in the past two months as an experiment and to 'level up' my Pruhealth membership. That is A LOT of fruit, and I easily have over 5 portions of fruits each day.
Now I tell myself this is a good thing, since I can now do without the large amount of 'snacks' (crisps, sweets, chocolates) I used to consume. And while I realise that fruits are still full of sugar, they are allegedly less harmful than the ones found in snacks.
Yet my verdict so far? Blah. I don't feel particularly better than I used, if anything my stomach feel bloated more often than not. Having to eat so many fruits throughout the day is also a chore. I am definitely cutting down my spending down to £10-12 as soon as I can get away with it.
I'm a veggie, so well... Lets just say I eat alot of the stuff. Feel great for it aswell, definately felt a massive difference when I made the choice, went from being tired all the time to actually having energy. I don't know why people complain about the price of fruit/veg, I've saved loads of money doing it, meat is seriously expensive!
That's pretty much the same as me, only only real time I eat veg in a meal is in a pasta sauce, or maybe a bit of salad in a sandwich. I very rarely eat fruit either, probably about once a month that I'll actually eat a peice of fruit. Even so, I'm still closer to under-weight than over-weight.
Not enough
I get plenty of fruit+veg (no near-death-divinity-experiencing-experience required), but I also eat a load of less healthy foods too. I love eating.
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
I too have 4-5 (or more) bananas daily. That's about it usually; I know I need to have more...
