Oh please. It's been common knowledge since about a month after the shooting that De Menezes in no way attempted to run from the police. Nest time, check your facts. I'm linking to Wikipedia because it's comprehensive and I'm lazy, but if you don't trust it every other news archive will corroborate.

Did it expload? it was safely cotrolled I believe so in a way no one failed but the people responsable. I find it hard to critisize when things like this are hard to control and monitor. With the stupid laws in this country it is hard to catch and detain people who plan/do stuff like this.

i know what your saying, all the hard work they do and all it takes is some drunk terrorist...

imagine what would have gone off if he didnt crash the car..

i guess my point should be, why did it take an ambulance to call it in, with the high security measures we are ment to have in place the police should have seen the dangerous driving on one of there many cameras around london.

At the moment, the rumour/speculation/spin being put on the failure to explode is that a P.C. pulled the wires from a mobile phone trigger before it went off. If it was smoking, it looks like it'd already been triggered, but failed to work as intended.
Thank God for incompetent bomb builders.

The Park Lane one is where the suspect vehicle got towed to after being removed by Westminsters traffic people for being illegally parked.

We had a scare at london bridge yesterday... All told to move to the river side of the office as there was a suspect car in Tooley street (London Bridge Station, London Dungeon etc).

Security then announced that the owner had returned to his car so we could go back to work.

So that was a bit of excitement.

It seems that these people are aiming for nightclubs though, wasn't there one a while back outside a big club in london? This one was outside TigerTiger apparently.

Basically, its what anoys me the most, they are lazy.

They can't go for the real legitamate targets, because they are un-creative/stupid, so they go for soft tragets.

Its just like when i was at primary school and we had too learn 4 new 'fire like drills' evac s,n,e,w.

But what anoys me even more is do they really want a war of attrition? I think they must, or just be very stupid!

Now, everyone get back to work, remeber if the thing had gone off few people would of been hurt, a lot deafened, but still worse things happen at see. (despite what the sun tells you, i can assure you tiger tiger has never had 1,800 people in it)

They say they the first police on scene were seen removing gas cilinders from the car while it was still ablaze, mabee a confused early report but it doesn't look good!

I'm sorry but the policeman hosing down the guy who drove the jeep into the airport?!

I may be completely out of order here but I'm not sure I'd have bothered.

I'm still interested in how come it was only the Human Torch's trousers and undies that survived the burning. Are they special "Terror Pants"? Can I get some? Inquiring minds need to know. Why did his shirt burn, but his trousers stay TV-respectable?

You are right, mycarsavw, it would have been interesting to leave him to burn and see how long his tackle stayed hidden. Bloody Police; spoiling my experiment.
