Yup, bought it for a few people and myself and been telling as many as possible about it.
Lets hope people keep it up and we get a nice viral win like we did with the Jedi census

In theory, this extra publicity will only serve to help the protest too.
With a bit of luck it will, it's now starting to get some better coverage in the mainstream press, where before it was largely dismissive.
Still, there's only been around 10% of the members of the FB group actually purchasing.. lazy buggers!

I must admit I bought this earlier, though more for the fact it reminded me of my younger days clubbing in Brighton

This is bunny and friends. He is fed up waiting for everyone to help him out, and decided to help himself instead!
Well, duh!!X Factor judge Simon Cowell has criticised the internet campaign, calling it "stupid".
Prior to the final of the ITV talent show, he said: "I think the campaign's aimed directly at me."
Poor fella, he must be worried that his little puppet isn't going to make it if he feels he needs to attack the group like this.
Considering some people claim to have bought it 3 times, that's a bit poor. But then again, still several days to go!
Even if Killing in the name doesn't get to number 1, it's not a failure by any stretch of the imagination. It's by far the biggest 'protest' against karaoke-pop this country has ever seen, and the publicity from the major media will hopefully have encouraged more people to broaden their musical horizons. I'm not saying it will get Daily Mail readers listening to Slayer, but it will certainly have an impact.
It's a success already
He also said that he has "Saved everyone" from the previous crap xmas songs..
Yeah, thanks Simon..
Hold on, who was responsible for those other crap Christmas novelty songs? Oh yes.. Cowell!

Is it true that RATM are on the same record label as Joe Mcelderry?
What really would be funny, a stroke of weird genius, and truly shocking is... if the x-factor winner (Joe McElderry?) did a cover version of RATM - Killing in the Name.

Really? he's got some nerve for man that's essentially in marketing rather than music. I bet he failed to mention his involvement in Teletubbies - "Say eh oh" that was almost number one christmas of '97.......or the fact that there used to be quality singles in the christmas number one spot before the accountants got hold of the music industry like....say.....I dunno...... Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody. What that man doesn't know or chooses to forget about the music industry could fill a book, probably several.
Yup, really: http://www.nme.com/news/joe-mcelderry/48880
