Re: Gingers - Are they really a lower form of life?

I think "gingerism" is akin to racism, After all, If i take the piss out of a black person because of the colour of their skin, I can potentially face jail time, but I get ridiculed because of the colour of my hair on a daily basis and people just continue to point and laugh.....

.....Anyway, anyone who has a problem with red-heads also has DR to deal with!

    Ginger people arent a race.
There was never 200 years of ginger slavery. after all, the worse person in the world to send into a field to do some work would be ginger...

Re: Gingers - Are they really a lower form of life?

I didn't say they were a race, hence my wording which I suggest you re-read!

I was born with ginger hair, I did not choose it, and there's little I can do to alter it other than dying my hair, but would you tell a black person to get out the powder to "white up" ?

I just still don't understand why "gingerism" is so tolerated. I am not the type to get offended by these kinda things, and if i'd seen the card I probably would have laughed and moved on, but there is still IMHO, no real need for it, and I still don't understand why some forms of discrimination are tolerated, whilst other's are deemed to be criminal offences!....

I don't want to lower this thread into a stupid debate over the matter, I just think some people need to think a little more carefully about comments that are made.

I never understood why people are unable to get a joke, and instead turn it into some retarded political mudslinging crapfest. But there ya have it.

Re: Gingers - Are they really a lower form of life?

Trig, how am I supposed to detect your comments were just in a jovial fashion when i'm trying to make a semi-serious point.

And honestly, if you daughter is ginger, that's great, but you still won't know how it is to be a ginger man, the centre of a bullies interests for many years... Women get off a hell of a lot easier.

Re: Gingers - Are they really a lower form of life?

Ben, I presume you have a lack of Jason Manford in your life as that was something he said at the Apollo iirc. perhaps his DVD or a trip to youtube?

As for the whole gingerism thing, people will always get bullied be it hair, weight, colour, age, race, size and a hundred other things, the fact you are/were bullied over something that it is possible to "hide" (for want of a better word) with £10's worth of dye makes you lucky. As for me not knowing how it feels to be a ginger man, your right, but then again I'm guessing you dont get things like your lack of hair mentioned as I do, I really dont care, I dont see the point in being bothered by something that you cannot change, there are a lot more serious issues going on around us other than stupid christmas cards..

Trig you are obviously insensitive, and should "ginger up" so you can understand the persecution that they have to deal with on a daily basis.

Re: Gingers - Are they really a lower form of life?

I was bullied at school, but not because I was ginger, I was bullied for something that would of been a lot harder to change, so if I'm insensitive its because I was made this way by the people that bullied me.

Only a ginger can call another ginger ginger
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
