yeah they're checking phone records right now...and they fully understand I wouldn't just come in and pick a random number plate just because thats what I like to do in my spare time...
i called police about CCTV on buses that might have been in the area at the time and they're checking them right now. since he had stopped in the actual bus stop you might think he got spotted.

there is also a form I can fill in for dangerous driving that is unconnected to the assault form - but i still put assault on it and they go and get the F*er...road rage and all that. I am not required to go to court etc which might be a complete hassle anyway.
it goes to traffic unit or something like that, anyway, it goes straight to court if its deemed serious enough [and assault is actually quite serious] and he gets 3 points taken off licence. which might be the best I get...since I have no witnesses.

where do you live shogun? sorry only joking, wouldn't want to drag anyone else through this. thinking best thing now is to inform traffic cops who'll take it on and I wont even have the hassle of court. plus his 3 extra points wont make DFS happy now will it?...

remember kids - points mean prizes!!

and before anyone says 'ooh thats terrible', he was a liar/cheat/thug/illegal taxi driver who had no fixed abode on his police statement but funnily enuf he had an address in court lol, despite the above the 'plod' charged me with careless driving which was NFA'd whne they realised the officer had been late at the scene and all the vehicles had been moved.

Sorry again m8 I know how you feel just dont let it get you down

    eh?!!!

just a tad too extreme i think. i'm not sure i could justify doing quite that. i'm sure DFS sofas pretty much spontaneously combust anyway so I hardly have to do anything really...

wonder when that happened, or even why...or who?!

well, to who ever - thanks - though I'm still not entirely sure what the reputation thing is all about I'm sure one day it'll all be clear!

like i said - my subconscious been working away and something else has come to mind...

when I contacted DFS, the guy i spoke to said the co-driver never actually saw what happened once the driver got out to attack me - presumably because he was on the phone. and also that he told me the driver grabbed the BACK of the bike...

which doesn't fit because what is the back of the bike? the wheel? he'd have his fingers chopped off. saddle? impossible as I was sitting on it. Seat post? nope, couldnt reach that if if can't get the saddle, especially if my legs were in the way... so his statement just doesn't add up to be honest. he came at me and pushed me off and attacked me then pulled the bike out of my hands until I got it back.

Its true but the incident was more serious so it warranted a response, after all he made 6k for free, if you havnt got witnesses m8 its going nowhere I kept on thinking I had a case but the police dont work like that your thinking above is waaaay too deep they'll just ignore it and hope you go away.

hmmm this country is truely going to the f**king dogs.

People are no longer polite any more ( I get a few polite callers at work but the rest just grunt & groan down the phone all day ), even people living in the same street don't know/talk to each other any more, such is the dread of the society today.

I wish we could all go back 30 years, you all hear old people talking about going out as kids when they we're younger and everyone left their doors open. Today, if that happened you'd arrive home to everything valuable missing and probably excrement smeared all over the walls.

I hope you get some CCTV tape or something like that, that clearly shows this driver being a royal asre and he gets his comeuppance as actually hitting a cyclist is not the brightest thing to do. Can you not check your bike for paint or anything on it to show how he's hit you with his van ?

Hope you get everything sorted and that crazy mofo that was driving the van should be locked up ( and in the showers with a nailed down bar of soap - that will teach him )

have checked over bike - found damage - chipped paint etc. but if thats proof then there it is. I'm going to go down to police and talk face to face with them tomorrow as I hate doing stuff thats important over the phone.

as far as what to do I took some legal advice off my dad, being a barrister figured would be good, and he suggests leaving it until CCTV footage comes back. if nothing does then I have a further plan I'd like to follow.
the manager to the driver took his side of the story - and he basically shoots himself in the foot as he says he stops and gets out of his vehicle.
so there you have it, admiting to getting out, and he certainly wasn't checking to see if I was alright! which basically equals road rage - which apparently the police come down on quite hard.

the second point is if the manager can get out of him where he stopped - then he can be done again as he stopped at a bus stop, inside the yellow dotted lines...which, according to my dad is also illegal.

i hope thats correct - please don't burst this bubble. if I can't get him for assault as I'm without witnesses the words of the driver, as taken in a statement by his manager, end up to be self incriminating...

at least thats what my dad reckons, being a QC and all think he knows his stuff, but it depends on the manager relaying what he told me to the police - if he changes it at all then i'm b*ggered.

there's also the fact that hm grabbing me from back of the bike that doesn't add up - if he came out of lorry round the front how could he physically grab the back of the bike if he came head on. and if he came round the back I would have got away as bikes accelerate faster ... so its all a bit swiss cheese that part of his arguement. i'll see what police say
