im kinda stuck at the moment my hairs now pretty long, its past my shoulder and i can have a pretty big pony tail now

but my dimlema - recently its started looking....how do i put it ?

so what to do ? well i might post a pic in a bit so i can help you decide, ive thought about it tho, and something dfinutly needs to be done

so what now ?

well ive cooked up 3 ideas.....

1 - keep it as it is, it might get better, and surely, once i got a ponytail of epic properortions i can kind of hide the crapness, until it hopefully looks good

2- chop it off, chop it all off, go back to how i looked 2 years ago, skin head with a bad attitude

3 - dreadlock it (btw anyone know where i can get it done and how much ? same goes for the do it yourself kits)

4 - go to a proper place, ive not had it cut for 18 months, or anything, go to somewhere like a proper hair studio, and pay 50 quid to get it styled how i want in the hope itll look half decent

or, last but not least....

5 - have it half cut off, so its still about 4/5 inches long all around, dye it black (currently brown) and spike it with some industrial strenth hair gel

Post a pic. For guys - if you want to have long (ish) hair that's managable, layers are definitely the way to go. Either that, or the scrag look. I prefer layers, personally.

My only problem is that the blue fades at the tips and roots VERY quickly, so im having to dye it every month or so Add to that the fact that i was a bit over zealous when i last shaved my undercut, and i lost 2 dreads

when i had my pink under-layer it always faded really quickly at the tips, but always stayed relatively dark at the roots. Now it's all washed out now and it's just grownout-blonde. I want to make it pink again but i would most probably get the sack

Layering is where the hair is cut into different lengths to add shape and texture. Just have a quick look in Cosmo, Glamour, Hair and Beauty or Zest and you'll see what I mean.

Ah yes - the long hair dilemma. I have been facing such myself. I'm at a point where I can either go back to that longish, Tom Cruise MI:2 style I used to have, or grow it out longer than ever and go for something like an Antonio Banderas Desperado style. Right now I'm in this weird not-quite-anything-but-it-is-long phase, for a while there I was sporting a very stylish Samurai pony-tail look. :/
