I've left mine at the top of the shelf, they seem to dig towards the light, which is odd.

Mine are really odd, they have just stopped piling ontop of each other in a corner, and now they are dispersed at the top walking doing absolutely nothing.

They are not digging at all. I sometimes give them a shake to wake them up!

have you made enough holes? I find that they tended to go in the ones that were at a angle first.

Nope. I think it's got something to do with the fact that they're such lazy ***** they won't dig, and thus they don't consume the gel that feeds them.

I have no sympathy at all. As far as I'm concerned, I've done the ant species a favour. By killing off 17 retarded ants, I've advanced the gene pool.

I think I might wait until the end of the summer when all the flying ants come out and hope I catch a fertilised queen.

If you want to catch the flying ants don't forget they are massive and won't dig as well.

Go on order some more you know you want to. My mates farm is fantastic I will take some pics and post them up later, he has only had it for a week but the ants have made a fantastic tunnel system.

To be honest, I'm a bit bored of the whole thing now. I thought it'd be really fascinating to watch them dig etc, and it was for the first wekk or so, but now I just couldn't care less, haha.

My ants are 100% lazy, today i gave the whole thing a good whole shake up to liven them up. One ant is injured due to a scrape whilst trying to escape, and i dont know whether it is the same one now that is down the end of the longest tunnel.

I.e. one ant is at the bottom of a tunnel, it isnt digging, just lying there doing nothing, but when i shake the thing she is most obviously alive, just darn lazy, or dying! So i don't know whether it is the injured ant that has gone down there to die!

My tunnels have not got much further than what i poked! lol

I agree with Da.Guvna - lets just try and make it to 500 posts though.
