Anyone actually still have their ant farm?
This is what my one looks like now. There are still about 10 ants alive in there and now it's summer I will be able to find some more in the garden to add.
just when I thought this idea had died

still waiting for my ants to come :/
class! keep us posted!
Oooh looks good Famished, i want another Ant Farm, we had one years ago with soil and sand it was amazing to watch them until our young nephew came along and tipped them all out
If your going to catch your own try and get black ants not red ants as they sting, they arent expensive to send away for so your probably better off doing thatOriginally Posted by Nenmaster
I always fancied having a wormery but i know i wouldn't be able to pick 'em up if any of the slimy buggers escaped
I rescued a worm that had wrapped itself around a blade of grass and was suffocating once, i felt all gooey inside knowing i had saved him
sad i know!!!
All my ants died, so i have to fish them out some how as some are at the ed of tunnels that are like at 90 degrees to the main shaft.
any ideas?
Then i need to try and find some from elsewhere (garden)
But me thinks a lot of the ants were crushed!
