You can just leave them in there mate, the new ants will pick them up and put them at the top for you to collect.

They'll even take the bodies to the local crematorium if you're prepared to pay 3 blobs of jam.

Mine all died simultaneously, so I don't know this happens for sure, but it's what the manual says.

I caught a queen that had a male attached to its back... of course I only managed to catch 2 other ant as they were all too energetic out in the sun.

I'll have to get a few more but hopefully this will make a difference...

She went into the tunnels and curls up within a few minutes.

Can the ants actually eat this stuff or do they literally starve to death? Ants can last ages and ages with no food. Maybe you lot should give them a spoon of sugar or a bit of an apple every once in a while.

Lol!.. No they can actually eat the Blue stuff, it's been created especially.
"This miraculous gel, derived from a NASA Space experiment, serves as both habitat and nutrition for your ants"

..Hope that clears things up! Although a spoon full of sugar wouldn't be too good as then they wouldn't be hungry and so would stop digging, and eating through the Gel.

Interesting... Considering I have a total of 5 live ants... 1 male flying ant that appears to be dying now its dont its job. 1 Queen and 3 worker ants. Much more than I expected has happened sinse yesterday.

I left the antworks on its side overnight with the bottom facing towards the window as I though it would get the ants to go into the tunnels which it has done however seem to have started digging at the two corners at the top. Considering there are only 3 worker ants one of the 2 tunnels is already an inch deep. Not only that but the queen seems to be going in ant out of the original tunnels and has actually removed three dead ants which are stacked up in the corner. Lets hope that continues and she removes them all.

I'm not going to get som more workes to make sure there are enough forces to continue the work. Pictures to follow.

The queen has lost her wings.

    My QUEEN IS DEAD!

Firstly I dont think she had finnished doing the deed when I captured her... the male went down a tunnel and died and she waiting by the top of it for quite a long time for him to come back up.

After a few days she went in the biggest tunnel herself and may have got herself stuck although could easily have got out and has done before. Anyway she has not moved in 3 days now so I think she is dead.

One of the other ants appears to have dies or fallen asleep in a tunnel blocking in about 6 or 7 other ants and they are all stuck in a tiny area. I think if one of them was to move out the way a bit they could get past. About 4 of them are not miving now.

Think its going to be another load of the dying.

I can now confirm that all my ants are now dead, it actually lasted quite a long time so it was great for £10. Tbh they stopped digging after the last picture I took so not much more to report. Anyone else still got one going?
