What's your favourite alcoholic drink?

Bollinger, G&T, Talisker and Faustino I are probably my favourite drinks, but I wouldn't buy any of them at a pub, where I'll go for a good bitter depending on the area and Landlord's skillset - Timothy Taylor Landlord, Marston's Pedigree, McMullen IPA/AK and Courage Directors are some of my favourites.

Same here, Moet, Pinot Noir/Grigio, Vodka at home

Favourite tipple is a red malbec, preferably from Argentina. I'm also partial to Belizian One Barrell Traveller's rum, but I'm yet to find a stockist in Europe for it.

At home I drink more red wine than anything else.... but rarely drink it in pubs.

I'm a bitter man over lager, and the local to the area I'm in if at all possible. Rarely spirits though good scotch is the law occassionally

And this weekend... having done a not baqd job on my Dad's wine rack, I'd actually have to say...

Real ale is my first choice if I'm heading to a pub. Summer Lightning is a particularly good one, as is any beer from the West Berkshire Brewery.

If I'm at home, a quality wine is a winner, followed by maybe a single malt whisky like Highland Park, an Ardberg or Talisker. Sometimes I dabble in quality vodka like Snow Queen or Grey Goose but only when I can find it cheap enough.

Otherwise, a decent G&T....

hmmm, depends on my mood and what kinda night it's shaping up to be

quiet night down the local: what ever real ale they have going that takes my fancy, occasionally a cider (usually pear, although i've been known to enjoy biddendens), polished off with a nice single malt or failing that whisky mac.

quiet night in a pub I don't know: Fosters (can't be disappointed by fosters, tastes equally crap anywhere you drink it)

in a bar: cuba libre, screw driver, mojito, white russian

on a big night out: whatever combination of the above with plenty of sambuca and/or tequila slammers!

Absolutely everyone yer honour, I have no idea how on earth these under 18's became allegedly drunk on tap water that I was giving them....

Seriously it's a criminal offense now to supply anyone under 18 with alcohol, even in your own home...

Started much, much earlier than 18, at home with family/friends - everything in moderation and if anything it's made me appreciate it all the more.

If it's your 18th tomorrow, go to the pub with your old man and ask for one from each of the top row in a pint glass.

Considering the year you've had, go nuts and blow off some cobwebs - Happy 18th too

Served properly (i.e. -15c) and without being tainted with Redbull/Monster/Whatever other crap is going...

Having it just in a fridge or on the shelf isn't good enough, it needs to be way below 0c.


To go with that, Coors if they have it (hardly anywhere does around here, and Tesco doesn't sell it )
