I'd imagine the accessibility of it, has the same reason that the die hards are panning it, JJ Abrams.

    Star Wars the Force awakens
    6/10
Didn't like the main character. Was to predictive and nothing new. Also expected more of the 2015 effects

Watching Pierrepoint - The last Hangman. Very interesting watch. 7/10 for me.

Might not be to the taste of some people. A bit dark

    Despicable Me (first one).

Was okay, pretty good I suppose. Didn't blow me away. Some nice characters but really it was all about the lead 'bad guy' and the kids, the rest was pretty irrelevant. For that reason, I think, it didn't strike me as amazing.

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

Sicario - It was good but not as good as all the glowing reviews would suggest. I found it very hard to care about any of the characters, they all seemed very cold and remote.

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

I watched a French film recently, Untouchable, about a quadriplegic millionaire and his carer.

I went expecting a few smirks, but it was actually really funny, touching and heart-warming. My wife even said she didn't expect to laugh so much at a French film. Even if you're not keen on French films, I'd highly recommend this one, 9.5/10

  10. Received thanks from:

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

I watched Ant Man the other day - was expecting a cheap Marvel cash-in and apart from the obvious money saving on not showing certain Avengers characters... it was really good. Wasn't expecting to enjoy it so much. 8/10

Also tried watching the first Maze runner and fell asleep after the first 40 mins - seemed good so will give it another go this weekend.

Just watched this too. Really liked it. I thought it was realistic that the characters were so cold given what they were dealing with.

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

Recently bought the Ice Age box set for my son, so I've watched Ice Ages 1, 2 and 3 so far, as well as the Christmas special.

Couldn't tell you whether they're good or not, he hasn't ever lasted a whole film without getting up and causing chaos somewhere else.
