    Elysium

Meh, it was ok. The pacing was off, and I couldn't really invest in the characters enough to suspend my disbelief enough to really enjoy it, but... yeah, it was ok.

    Pacific Rim

Just a fun film to watch - just remember that this is a popcorn flick, of a similar ilk to Starship Troopers and the first Transformers movie, so if you go into it expecting some kind of intellectual orgasm you're going to a) be disappointed, and b) feel bloody stupid.

Watched Ted (2012) last night..was okay in a Family Guy humour kind of way. 'Plot' got worse as it went along and got bored by the last half hour.

Agreed, It wasn't quite as bad as I was led to believe, probably good going in with low expectations. Some funny bits.

Finally got round to watching Star trek into Darkness last night. I'm not really interested in Star Trek, but the film was excellent.

Watched the Untouchables last night for the first time.

Good film and Sean Connory was awesome in it.

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

World War Z - Thought it was ok. Some silly plot moments and a couple of self-contradicting points but otherwise ok.

Then watched Pacific Rim....what a load of cobblers...made WWZ look great! My "favorite" moment? "It's ok, that one is analogue as it's nuclear powered".....

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

Watching Hansel and Gretel: Witch Killers at the moment and I just finished watching Life in a day. Life in a day was pretty good although the Hansel and Gretel film I don't really find that interesting to be honest.

The Fallen, Denzel Washington film co-starring John Goodman and James Gandolfini. Interesting Story which plods along at a good pace, worth a watch.

The Blind Side - pretty good for a Team America feel-good movie, much better than I thought it would be.

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

Enders Game. One of my all time favorite books, and surprisingly disappointing movie. To be honest I was seriously worried when I heard that it was being made as there are large parts of this film that could not possibly be portrayed on the large screen, and this left huge sections disjointed with simply not enough explanation, It needed to be longer, and paced faster. There are a multitude of continuity errors and the revised ending for me fell flat. It's not terrible, it's just not good and all too distinctly Meh!

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

Senna the documentary - Bluray - Extended version (not quite a traditional film sorry)

    Mainly for fans of racing.

Overall very good but the editing and production was flaky in parts such as audio issues and scene changes, I'm amazed the low quality bits ended up in the final product as you didn't need to be a Media Studies student to fix it or spot it.

I felt there could have been more people interviewed but they did well to get Ron Dennis and Alain Prost at such length.
Would watch again easily as there was a lot I didn't know.

    .
Saw it in the cinema, is a really interesting watch. Were the flaky bits in the "extended" parts, or did you notice them in the main film?
