Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

Friday evening: the new Blade Runner 2049. Awesome, pure awesome! Go see it ...on a BIG screen ...in 2D.

Yesterday and today: the first half of Fargo season 3. It's OK, but not as good as either of the previous two seasons.

Is there even a 3D release? I assumed that nonsense had all died out by now.

Yup. There's a 3D version. Even an IMAX 3D version. But at least here in Denmark you'd be hard pressed to find either, if any at all. Then again, the film was originally shot in 2D, so it's not really as if you're missing out.

I watched The Warriors at the weekend. Very much of its time, lots of eye-acting and cheesy music going on but quite entertaining nonetheless. 6.5/10

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

I watched Blade Runner : Final Cut yesterday afternoon again, great classic movie that everyone should see if they haven't already.

Prior to that we went to see Kingsman : The Golden Circle on IMAX 2D on it's opening night and loved every minute of it

Started watching The girl on the Train, switched off after 20 mins, painfully slow.

Managed to watch Baywatch all the way through though, fairly good if you've got a few brain cells to kill and appreciate the, er, visuals

I couldn't watch this all the way through either - specifically, it was the horrendous change of location from frumpy London suburb to glossy New York one! Also, all the characters were ludicrously good-looking in the way only Hollywood would think realistic and, and.... actually not worth saying anything else about this travesty tbh.

For what it's worth I enjoyed it, she played the part well. Not read the book though so didn't know/care it was originally set in London.

I quite agree with you regarding 'Fargo' S3. Not as good as the previous seasons. However, the final episode mitigates this somewhat.

I read that the new 'Bladerunner 2049' has not (initially) fared well at the BoxOffice. Apparently, too long and requiring viewers who still have a decent IQ ~ sounds like my kind of film!

    Loving Vincent.
Am not an art buff - it felt like my eyes were drinking in the most delicious elixir for 130 minutes.
    Slurp!
But seriously, I don't think that I've seen anything better in the cinema.

    War Dogs

Pretty good movie, enjoyed it but would have liked it to be a little longer with a little more closure / content at the end.

Watched HELL OR HIGH WATER last night on Amazon. Most excellent dialogue/script/characterisation. Def recommend if you're into modern westerns. Even the walk-on parts are memorable - that old waitress!!

Chris Pine and Ben Foster leads, with Jeff Bridges as a Texas Ranger.

    What a cool surprise.
