Last film I saw was The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. I've not read the books so I found the ending very abrupt!

The Secret life of Walter Mitty
Not what I expected ( lot of short stories of Ben Stiller imagining himself as different people in different situations as he daydreams ), instead it turned out to be boring , some quest for a negative! Didn't laugh at all during the movie.
2/10
"Last Vegas" and "The Family". Both garbage.
The Hunt and Submarine - both very good, for different reasons.

Robocop. The original one - inspired by all the crappy reviews for the 'reboot'.
I love the classic robocop and no remake can beat it however I am slightly interested in seeing the new one.
Only to mock it of course
X-Men: First Class.
I'm probably going to watch Thor sometime soon. I'm getting ready for the sequel to be released on DVD
Lone Survivor - hectic impacts, esp on their 'downward' moves.
Quite a hoo-ra type film, but not political. Very realistic, apparently. Not simply COD with better graphics, lol.
SPOILER ALERT:
Reading about it, the actual incident last even longer (5 days instead of 3) and Marcus was paralyzed from the waist down, after that last fall. He drew a line in the dirt with his knife and dragged his body over it. Repeat. For 9 hrs. Hectic.
One can never stop saying Thank You
Thor: Dark World - 7/10

Few nights ago we watched Starship Troopers again, great as always and then I put on Joe Dirt which has a similar vibe to it as Forrest Gump but its a lot more wacky & more comedic, good film though.
Last night we watched Oldboy, a Japanese movie (Or Chinese or Korean, not 100% sure! ). Very strange movie but me and my wife just couldn't stop watching, subtitles were easy to read and the script is superb. Its about a guy that gets abducted and held in what looks like a roadside motel room for 15 years. When he finally gets out he has to piece together why he was taken, where his daughter is and at the same time the guy that actually abducted him keeps sending him messages and meeting him. Twist at the end of the movie was pretty damned good and it actually dawned on me what the twist was when he went to see his abductor for the last time in the final 15 minutes or so.
Well worth watching if you like foreign films, its currently on Netflix.
Thinking on Netflix, Battle Royale is on there at the minute also, if you have never seen it I suggest you watch it. Hunger Games is aimed at kiddies, Battle Royale is adult only and has been around a lot longer and is just plain awesome. May stick the DVD on tonight, haven't seen it in a while.
Friday night was Runner Runner - a movie about a gambling website with Justin Trousersnake as the protagonist and Ben Affleck well cast as the smug website owner. Not too bad while we were watching it but I struggled to remember what it was called or anything about it today.
Watched Side Effects on Saturday - a kind of thriller with Jude Law and the girl who played the girl who played with fire (American version). It was OK, but within the first half hour I got what the twist was, although not the full details.
Popcorn - Emergency Happy Shopper. 1 bag of Salted, one of Sweet, mixed together. OK but lacking in flavour - 4/10
TRAPPED (2002) - Kevin Bacon, Charlize Theron, Courtney Love, Stuart Townsend
Above average kidnapping thriller, set in Seattle area. Far more attention to character back story/development/motivation than is the norm. Ending is a bit hollywood, but that wasn't unexpected.
One can never stop saying Thank You
Watched the new thor the other day. It's a good film as far as your typical super hero movies goes.
