Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

    Watched 2 last weekend:
Despicable Me - very good cartoon caper. Not sure why I've waited so long to see it. The minions are way cool.

The Eagle - Middling Roman-era film about some bloke whose dad lost the symbol for his Legion. Son joins army and wants to get it back. Fairly enjoyable but I didn't know that 1st/2nd Century Romans had American accents...

Finally watched Inglourious Basterds and Django. Probably shouldn't have watched them so close together as they're pretty much different spins on the same thing but I enjoyed them both, though I think the first half of Django was a bit weaker than Basterds, they both ended really well and made me laugh loads.

Mud with Matthew McConaughey. Easily his best work, although that may not be saying much. The real star of the film was 14-year old Tye Sheridan.

    Really enjoyed it.

Oblivion and Pacific Rift, thoroughly enjoyed both although Pacific Rift is the loudest film in existence and left me a little deaf :\

I can't believe that none of these actors actually didnt say something when they read the script. 1/10....the 1 is for Salma hayek.

Am currently watching the Star Wars films with my 8 yr old son. Two down four to go. He is enjoying them and finally able to sit through a whole film without becoming distracted

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

Couple more I've watched recently -

Lincoln - DD-L played the part of Abe brilliantly, and overall I'm glad I watched it, but by god it was slow. Not an action film by any stretch!

Jack Reacher - I think because I had fairly low expectations of this, it was surprisingly enjoyable.

Argo - Very good, and a true story (albeit embellished slightly for Hollywood, no doubt)

Flight - Decent, but the opening crash sequence is a bit daft

Finally got around to "The Secret In Their Eyes", excellent thriller. Also The Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec, which was a hoot. I agree re: Argo - that's become one of our favourites.

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

With three friends we went through an online Film company until we came across the first one that none of us had seen. Turned out that was Prince of Persia, sands of time. Not a great film, but not bad either. wasn't disappointed, which was my worry!

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

I had double bill of horror fright and watched , " The Conjuring " ( best film Ive seen this year ) and " The last Exorcism pt 2 " which was nowhere near as bad as rating ( I gave it 6 ) and had a satisfying night.

Next up for this fridays double bill - probably Mama , and maybe something scifi , not sure ( any suggestions ? )

Also watched this having had no idea she had 2nd film ( I guess only for die hard fans which I am - sort of )
