It's just come to my area but I think I'll wait a while for it because I still have 3 months free with BT ADSL
Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?
hmmm ...that's strange because I only hear good things about Be, maybe you were in a heavily contended area. I was with their sister company O2 on their unlimited Premium package, which was brilliant, never a problem, never a call-out in 12 months service. Then O2 shot themselves in the foot by discontinuing their unlimited packages and brining in monthly allowances and traffic management, as soon as I could get Infinity in my area I signed up.
I've updated my previous post regarding BT Infinity traffic management. BT also throttle the heaviest users on Infinity, so the 300GB cap will be removed but the ability to traffic manage the heaviest users will stay. Please dont ask me what BT consider heavy usage to be, or what amount is safe to download because at the moment BT are not saying.

I had stability issues some weeks ago (been pretty rock solid for over 2 years now), evenings I would have packet loss in games and with 90% certainty my line would disconnect and resync at some point between 11pm-12 midnight.
Not sure what was the problem, but it has completely cleared up and gone to being rock solid again.
Personally I wouldn't trust BT as far as I could throw them with regards to internet connections, no doubt they have impressive speeds for the money but I'd rather get FTTC through Be if it ever became a possibility.
Im waiting for it to come to Newcastle but havent got a clue when it will arrive. There used to be a doc somewhere with dates when areas would get connected.
Ooo totally forget this thread. I spoke to Be* last night, got my MAC, spoke to BT Infinity team last night as well. Got it all sorted. The equipment is arriving on the 26th, and the engineer is coming on the 28th. Wish me luck, I'll keep you updated.
Well after siging a 12 Month contract with BE last week, this week I got news that I can now get infinity
Lol how typical is that!? Oh well, im very happy with BE and there is no usage limits.
I would rather not have internet with BT anyway if I could help it so hopefully other companies will offer it soon.

Just switched from O2 where i got around 6meg down, 1.5 up?
Now on BT infinity 34meg down, 8meg up. I havent had any problems and I have had it a few weeks, I havent had any problems with the customer service, quite the opposite actually. I live in Newcastle, the Gosforth exchange is enabled Pedro6994.
So far smooth sailing, and yeah O2/Be* were starting to let me down. I was dropping connection quite frequently and when they looked into it, it still wasnt resolved and I got no reply .
They probably do mate but tbh i've been very impressed with it and their customer service that im inclined to stay for the year. I'll only go to Infinity or similar when there are better (or none) caps.
For me 500GB a monthw ould be best. Whats the point of constantly speeding the network up if your intending to cap and throttle it.
As usual its 1 step forward and 2 back. BE have confirmed that they will be offering FTTC broadband hopefully next year so I'm happy enough to wait.

Well it's the day of my installation. The engineer is coming between 08:00 and 13:00 hours. It's nearly 11:00 and I'm starting to get worried. Just got off the phone with BT and told them I won't be happy if he/she doesn't turn up as I've taken a day off work to be here, and I will need to leave at 13:00.
