Yeah well at a guess (since your sensors are not labelled as nicely as mine ) TMPIN0 is going to be your CPU sensor and obviously this is getting past the 43°C threshold but your CPU fan is not spinning up, i believe the fan on that cooler should reach 2000rpm at max speed and yours is sitting around 1400 although that should be fast enough really.

Oh and see the end of my last post for an edit on backplate and TIM info, in case you missed it

Re: Best gaming machine for £500?

Ahh thanks! Although, are there any other sites that sell this? Sorry don't mean to be picky but it's just that Scan charge around seven quid for postage lol (I could put that towards the thermal paste you requested), if not though then i guess i'll just have to go for it, anywho this isn't specifically made for the Xigmatek cooler but i take it it'll work fine? Thanks!

Re: Best gaming machine for £500?

Yeah it will work, you will need to remove the plastic push pins from the hold down plate to use the screws instead but that shouldn't be very hard to do.

As to other places you can get it from,

    http://www.overclock.co.uk/product/T...u-Kit_828.html
and you can get your thermal paste and cleaner from there as well.

Saying that you get free postage from scan if you spend £20 ex VAT (you will need to register for it though the is a link around here somewhere) so buy something else to make up the cost.

Re: Best gaming machine for £500?

Ahh thanks! Just ordered a cordless Logitech keyboard which i had my eye on for quite a while Ordered the Artic Silver 5 thermal paste aswell so i should have the cooler refitted with the new thermal paste in a few days which will hopefully bring the temps down.

Re: Best gaming machine for £500?

Well, i applied the new Arctic Silver paste today and i am now getting 30-35 on idle (40-45 before) and a max of 47 when playing Crysis whereas before it used to shoot up to above 65 straight away Installed the new CPU bracket aswell, so much better than the pushpins imo, anywho i think that's me done Hopefully i won't have to open the case for quite some time now, thanks for the help everyone, very much appreciated.

Re: Best gaming machine for £500?

Glad you got it all sorted

Don't forget to open your case up every month to clean any dust out of the filters and heatsinks (if it got in) otherwise your temps will go up again, and we don't want that now do we?
