charts updated. Some nice scores, keep em coming
Interesting to see how far people are overclocking. Particularly the 3k group, its all down to the clocks. Also so far there seems to be alot more ATi gpus than nvidia ones.
PS if you spot a mistake please let me know and i will fix it.
It might be quite interesting to see a cost of the build, work out a cost per point type thing.
Myself I've found that a good cooler, preferably water for me personally, and a low end CPU are a much better investment than a high end one.
Then again as currently its only pidggin and myself in the multi-gpu land, that might be proved quite wrong

bored so trying a little bit of clocking whilst dinner is cooking....
with only a tiny CPU clock I've gotten a little higher by taking the gfx cards up a couple of notches, temps still OK, but i'm worried my rad been a three fan, might have trouble sustaining this for 3+ hours.

edit: and taking CPU upto 3.8ghz now i've got:

If I gun the CPU I should get 10,000. However I want this to be 'stable enough' rather than a rush for a bench and fear my rad isn't big enough!

Slightly more like it. Got my GTX460 1GB to 900mhz core which is one of the highest OCs of this version of the card I've heard of!
Mind you it's not stable beyond the bench really, just killed a folding unit

Right, new table coming up as I have 2nd post.
How much did you pay for your points?
Price for CPU GPU RAM and Motherboard.
3820 here with my just-barely-stable-enough-to-run-a-loop-of-3DMark11-without-crashing-overclocks.
i3 540 at 4.278ghz, 6850 at 875mhz core and 1200mhz memory.
http://3dmark.com/3dm11/447740
CPU: £70
GPU: £144
RAM: £30
Motherboard: £76
Total: £320 for those 4.
Nice ulti, that's what I went for. I'm only going to go for a mad dash 4ghz run if someone beats me @ bang per buck
okay
GPUs £588
CPU £240
RAM £80

Haha you should, although I find AMD processors much harder to get going anywhere pass 4Ghz. My ITX motherboard can't really push the i3 540 pass ~4.3ghz though, plus I'm running the stock cooler, 85ish degrees load is a tad scary haha. Your bang for buck is really nice though! I reckon Piggin's bang for buck shouldn't be too bad if it only includes the cost of the 4 main components.
yeah I reckon he won't be first though
I got a few good deals, including very good clocking components plus the core unlock.
