I'm running vms and some apps which are very heavy on memory (pixel and vector graphics), furthermore 16G ram lets you have some ramdisk fun too

I seem to be quite low on the list, but then it appears that a lot of people have the current generation of graphics cards. Is the 6*** series a lot better with tesselation?

I've managed to unlock my 6950 with a standard gigabyte 6970 bios, here's the outcome:

No need, its more of either a link to your score like you done, or a screen shot, just to show you havent made it up.
the 5xxx series is incredibly bad at tesselation. And this is a pretty much a tesselation bench. The 6 series is far far better at tesselating while being on par with the 5 series on performance / price.

i know i can squeeze about another 1k out of my system but i need to wait for ATI to release the official driver for the 6850. As the only drivers that are out for it atm are hackedish 5 series drivers to stop it blue screening. Supposedly the next catalyst will have the full support for it. until then no oc'ing my gpus for me

yes, but it would mean reformatting the entire thing and its effort on doing.................if im bored after this lecture i will do it, got 2 hours to kill between that and labs, grr effort heading back
