Wife's given me a play permit for tonight, so I'll have a quick play to see if I can beat my own score. I should be able to get the GPU's up to 850/2100, and I've got the CPU stable enough to bench at 4.9ghz, so that'll get me close to Piggin even if it is just for a one off run as opposed to 24/7 stable.
These Sandy bridges REALLY do overclock beautifully. Mines not even hot - i'm just bottling moving the volts up too much past 1.35v because that's a number that Intel quoted on their 970 system as being the upper limit (IIRC).
Had it at 5Gh last night, but couldn't get it to fold for more than 10 mins without a BSOD. Folding really is the heaviest workload you can put on one of these things. I've had Prime 95 successful runs, Pi to 32m dp run, OCCP run for 24 hours, but folding still fails.
Guess that there's enough variation in the code for it to pick out the SLIGHTEST instability, whereas running a LINPACK or something similar runs the same thing over and over....

yup. that gives me the same results as OCCP so I'm going to stick with folding as my metric. Might as well do some good while it's benching.
I'm up to 4.9Ghz (1.42v) and the GTX 480's @ 865/2100 (stock) so far.
Managed to break the 11k barrier, but I think that'll be the limit of the 480's without getting silly.

I did get it to bench at 5Ghz, but that had coloured speckles during the tests and wouldn;t show the load pages, so I've discarded thsoe results, even though they completed. No point in having kit that aint showing a proper piccy....
Wonder if it folds now....
#UPDATE# It does fold on the CPU, but the GPU's wont fold above 785 without forming NAN's, so while this is stable enough for gaming and benching, Folding really does require seemingly perfect stability to fold on it.
I'll stick my overclocking settings on the other overclocking thread that I started so people can copy my settings. Can;t advocate these Sandybridges enough!

Another very nice score
Hope you can pushing it further.
I found the more I overclocked things, the less score I got
Piggin - what speed did you have those 580's on?
Interested for comparison....

GPU 960 Mhz
Memory 2450 Mhz
Wow! I'm amazed I've got as close as I have to you! I'm officially bowled over with that!
Think I'll have a play again tomorrow, and see what I can come up with. Not sure if I will be able to get any higher, but it'll be worth a laugh. Apparently these 480's are good to 1125mV and i'm only at 960 so there's a bit of headroom there... Not sure I can get anything else out of the cpu, but I suppose I should be greatful I'm stable at 4.9Ghz on 8 threads...

I should try a little harder with my set up to be honest.
These settings will run 24/7 without any problems.
Should just go for a 'bench run'
I'd post terrible score but my PC didn't quite make it...

Q6600 @ 3.2
4GB DDR2 1066 Dominator
Asus 6950 DirectCUII 2GB @ 920 and 5500
Catalyst Version 11.2
Not sure if i'd see much more with further Overclocking.
See profile for full spec
I think the chances of me being at uni are pretty remote now at the grand age of 37 , but still i enjoy the work i do.
Has anyone else had much luck getting a 6950 past 920 on the gpu core. I've tried up to 940 but 3DMark11 crashes out without completing even though is stable while gaming.
