Connecting PS2 to PC

Does the PS1 work on the same TV in the same socket that gives the PS2 the wrong colours? If so then the PS2 has a duff connector... So any thoughts of using an RGB signal from it are pointless.

Your GFX card has a DVI output not an input. Your monitor MIGHT have a DVI input and a VGA input though - a lot of LCDs have both - not very many CRTs do though... if it does then get a DVI lead for the PC and the PS2 can use the VGA input on the monitor all to itself.

I probably won't use the VGA adapter now because I'd have to switch the wires around which would get annoying. I think the best I can do is to buy a new scart lead. To make sure that it'll work OK and to see about the quality, I'll try to borrow one from someone else first.

Or, as malfunction said you could get a simple KVM, a Belkin 2-port jobby is under 30 notes (I'd not go for a no-brand piece of kit as the picture quality might go a bit crap):

PS2 VGA cable + Belkin KVM and you can hook up your PC and PS2 to the monitor at the same time.
(No need to use the keyboard & mouse through the switch though.)

It would be good to have a test with one before committing though, to see if the picture quality gain is worth it.

or the xrgb2 has a monitor passthrough, and a remote control to pick which display to use...
