Tis been a good day for me
Orca, 2 Domis, Drake, Few Cruisers all blew up and currently trying to find another Orca in space, but will have to wait on pilot logging back in :L
Our corp was decidedly fail a few days ago...
Lost a BS, 2BCs and an Interceptor to just a BC and Assault Frigate...
/sigh.
Well i've got to consider where to point my corp at to rebuild. We have an alliance in stasis we could use but we need some dedicated pilots to get the ball rolling. I liked the idea of the forge low sec area, Akkio etc
less than 19 hours left on one of my subs and I will not be renewing him, need the funds for more pressing matters. My alt runs out in a few more days and its bye bye to him as well.
I have lost all interest in this game at the moment.

I find that playing on your own in Eve or with people that you don't know really sucks the fun out of the game.
Currently i'm resigned to just sitting in station spinning my ship whilst skills are trained.
My corp members are back on the MMO/New Game migrating spree with random Eve excursions so it's not too bad.
My friend and I are looking to start a new MMO and have started to dabble with the EVE online trial on steam.
To be honest its very easy to get lost with the depth of it. To be fair its like no other MMO. Is there a guide to starting out anyone would recommend?
Eventually we would both like to become pirates (isnt that everyones dream?) but is that something that is viable with just the two of us.
The only other thing putting us off is the monthly cost which seems quite a bit more compared with other MMO's.
Any thoughts?
You really need to find a decent corp to join to help you guys, the cost is what has put me off as well. I simply can't afford to run my accounts, its a shame to have 48mill and a 30 mill SP account just sitting doing nothing because I can't afford it

Piracy with just the two of you is going to be difficult, I would say as you will need to operate in Low / Null Sec and are likely to get jumped, outgunned and outnumbered.
I would suggest join a decent pirate corp in lowsec - do some research and best to avoid the idiots who call themselves pirates and spend their time camping 4-4 in Jita or war deccing new player corps and E-Uni in Empire (e.g. Privateers)
Yes, there is such a thing as a 'decent' pirate corp ...... have you thought about being mercenaries also some good Merc corps out there.
Pandemic Legion (the Alliance) are an impressive bunch at times and they are suitably under-hand and dastardly - why not check out some of their corps, some of them have feeder corps or maybe members lurking on here?
Chunks
Like others have said, it will be difficult to Pirate "properly" without a Corp. The main reason being that you shouldn't really dabble with Null or Low Sec unless you either know what you're doing or have people to show you what you're doing. Otherwise, like Chunkers pointed out you'll quite easily be ganked, baited or blobbed.
Blobbed? Sounds interesting.
Might look at some other aspects of the game for the time being then. Going to spend some time going down the militia route, see where that takes me.
Thanks for the heads up.
blobbed is when people jump a huge number of ships into the system, so many that it destroys the normal EVE mechanics.
I doubt that will be an issue here though. Although having a carrier jump in on top of you is not unexpected if you have a decent ship locked down.

Pirating with 2 people means you will...
