My first time dropping a cap, so I loved it

We had a bit of fun last night as well: -

    http://www.ekchu.com/killboard/?a=ki...ted&kll_id=609

One of our better fleets. We found the Domi on our way into lo-sec, and weren't sure whether to engage him or not. In the end, we just invited him into our roam.

Yup, he was a cool guy too

Boid was absolutely plastered. Every few mins he would just blurt out over the FC "Where the **** are you guys?". It was brilliant

    Re: EVE-Online

We had a pretty good day pew pew wise. After the POS bash, we had a cruiser fleet jump unscouted into our RR BS bubblecamp. Caught them completely off guard and slaughtered them. 29kills for 1 one cruiser loss.

Right now camping a Ushra'Khan hac fleet.

Never trust anyone. Everyone else *is* out to screw you over and it's full of people who think they are doing your newbie arse a favour by killing you

Once you've established that as a base mind set it's actually quite fun

    Re: EVE-Online

As mentioned numerous times before, get yourself into the EKCHU-PUBLIC channel. I won't be on this week as I'll be on holiday with the family, but there'll be a few helpful people on there to help answer your questions.

Doesn't matter what race you pick anymore really, other than for looks. Of the 5 attributes you have, make Charisma your lowest, and spread the rest of the points fairly equally amongst the other 4. You get to remap them twice at the start, and then once a year after that.

Other than that, just do the tutorials. They take a while, but it's generally worth doing, if only for the rewards. The learning curve is pretty steep, but not impossible.

    Re: EVE-Online

    Thanks guys,

Just as I finished paying the main tutorial last night, I was ready to go and have some fun exploring... and there was a power cut

Learning curve is as you mentioned steep as hell, I sort of knew what I was doing though, definitely going to do the tutorials

    Re: EVE-Online

    Its steep, but rewarding.

Get yourself with others that play. My biggest mistake was grinding all the way to L4 missions, looking back on it, it was stupid.

Corps *make* eve. I never knew how much I was missing out until I joined one.

    Re: EVE-Online

    Well last night as fun

    We went out with:

    Myrmidon
    Megathron
    Raven
    Armageddon
    Armageddon
    Falcon

    So a fairly nice fleet.

We we're roaming for ages - nothing. On our way back, we bump into a Paladin. I't would have been rude not to have locked it.

So we start pounding it...was hard to Jam as had a booster. Everyones unloading and going for it, but another Arma shows up. I jam him, so he's not much of a problem.
We just start to get the Paladin into hull. BANG, cyno up....

Thanatos jumps in, along with a bunch of others who warp in. The Paladin has about 10% left of hull....we've giving it everything we have......To late, It's been repped by the capital

We're crying of laughter, even though there was over half a bil about to go pop.

I was the only one who got out in the Falcon

They we're nice guys and he shared the paladin fit - it was worth well over 2B

Think of it this way: we we're wizzing about in ships the size of the enterprise, only to have a Borg cube dropped on our heads - literally

    Re: EVE-Online

Hah, sounds like it was great fun! I love the analogy you use there Agent...

I tried explaining it to some guys at work using it, but they didn't know what a Borg cube was and had to look it up!
