I have to say, the new ships look very sexy... especially the Gallente one.
Although i have my doubts about being able to mount large guns and think they'll be used more as throwaway DPS (i.e. cheap BS DPS).
Surely the tracking on the guns aren't going to be too hot (so ideally for vs. BCs and up), yet the Tank/Buffer against a BS won't be as good either.
But anyways, i could be completely wrong due to not that much Eve experience and the lack of them actually being released.
I expect they will be used in Fleet more than solo

Was going to go back to Piracy but couldn't be bothered with a Sec Status grind if I wanted to get back to hi-sec and cba with alts lol.

what else have they changed on the new patch, besides making things shimmer more and hiding the contracts screen. Just got use to it the way it was.

I would like to see the captain's quarters (and walking in stations) features fleshed out a lot and new mission type content added before I return. I spent a lot of time in this game when it was fun doing fleet fights and read a lot about problems later on, not sure if they have resolved it yet (sure they were working on it).
Also never used a cap ship in my life not sure how they affect the balance. One day this game may well drag me back though especially since I have a decent number of skill points ...

Currently sitting with 89mill myself; wanting to break the 100 mill barrier. Training eWar skills at moment which is nearly all at Level 5 [going to be deadly with a Falcon], then skilling all hybrid guns to l5.

I've only maxed out Projectiles; need work on Missiles.
Hybrids and Rails haven't been touched.
I think you'll find that Jay is asking in the last year, not just this last update

Was actually meaning the skills haven't been touched, so I don't really know about them; I've only just came back to the game lol.
I believe there a was change to the hybrids, but can't recall what it was (less energy use maybe). My mate at work informed me of the latest update, the major change being the naming of stuff so it's more newbie friendly. From what he was saying, all missile damage types have a common name, and the suffix defining the size of it, i.e. Tremor Light Missile, Tremor Cruise Missile. There's also a similiar approach taken to the different Meta levels of modules. So a "x Prototype" will be the Meta level 2 of item 'x'. Makes sense to me, as it was a bit of a ballache when clearing out the hangar trying to work out which module type was the Meta 4 to sell, and then recycling the others.
Been playing X3:TC lately and it's sparked my interest in Eve again, and I read there's a new release out now?
