A soldier never forgets what weapons he has!
i treat SP, much like i treat MP... asif im a one man army.... what everyone else around me is doing on my team doesnt matter, im aiming to get the job done... it it so happens they help out, thats a bonus, if they dont, then im working to get the job done to the best of my ability

Hmm, I just had a go on it today thanks to some plonker who bought it for PC, have to say it's more of the same - good quality, frenetic gameplay, but maybe a bit too much "more of the same". I don't know, it just really doesn't feel even remotely fresh compared to CoD4... I don't think I really noticed any difference in gameplay/graphics/feel. Apart from the lack of any decent settings menu and a console, mind.
Storyline is fairly stupid so far, I think they've taken this idea of jumping from one character to another way too far. For instance, at one point in the story, you take on the role of a character, play a mission (of very little consequence, or at least I can't remember what we were actually doing), then you get shifted to another theatre, and unavoidably die at the end of the mission. Neither further the story in my opinion, the character certainly isn't furthered because he's dead, and it feels like a big lump of bloat. Which in an SP game that's as short as this one is, is criminal.
Admittedly, I was always going to despise the game for having its MP soul ripped out and trampled on, but I'm actually surprised at how unimpressive I found the singleplayer - I don't know, but I expected something amazing from IW, and it seemed fairly bland. I'll probably have another go on it at some point, but right this second I'm not convinced it's going to live up to my expectations from the summer.
