Brute, it's a nice shot, but the sky is way too overexposed in my opinion.

Really? I think that's one of the strongest elements of the pic, the fact that such a huge amount of space is given over to nothing, thus emphasising the remaining subject....works for me anyway...

I know what you mean - it looks like a... dreamy image, if you know what I mean? The type of effect you see in films when someone has died.

thanks Bob, I was trying to hold the disc without getting fingers in shot, focus and adjust exposure at the same time In the end I poked my finger through the middle, focussed on in, and then took it away.

Btw, I'd appreciate your comments on the shoe picture, first time I've tried to mix monochrome and colour.

lacks punch, needs a little curves tweek, and a little more saturation (possible colour change) on the shoe..

not overly keen on the angle, placement of the shoe either.. is there a special story behind it?
