Mainly my health unfortunately sigh .. been long time since I traveled ..
I heard its not quite the same as it was now its more well known , or at least not quite in the original spirit , but it still must be a cool atmosphere , not so sure about sleeping arrangements though I heard theirs lot of Promiscuity - then again I suppose some might like that !
As for me its more about evoking long lost dreams and perhaps somewhere out there the spirit of Don Juan ( the other one )
There's as much or as little promiscuity as you like really. You sleep in your own tent/rv/etc. So you can be alone or not as you please. It's noisy so you only tend to hear people camped immediately adjacent to yourself; if you want solitude you can camp out in the boonies and have space around your camp.
On the other hand clothing is optional so if you're not comfortable seeing naked people from time to time it's probably best to stay away.
I personally don't go naked, not really my thing and I'd be worried about sunburn on sensitive areas.
I would definitely recommend it though - it's a unique experience and for most people somewhat life changing.
Night is the good time at BM:
Day is pretty cool too though:

A date for any aero lovers : 28-29 September, Sywell Aerodrome Northants, "Pistons and Props", a classic car and plane event.
http://www.sywellclassic.com/
And if anyone wants to go, and can be my "carer" we effectively both get in 1/2 price.
There are public bikes (called yellow bikes, because they are yellow); you use them and then leave them somewhere for others to use. Or you can take your own. I had my own bike, it's more convenient that way. My sister managed to pick up two bikes in a yard sale for $20 each so that's what I had. It is not a place for expensive bikes - the dust is not kind to bikes and similar mechanical devices.
We're in danger of hijacking this thread here, maybe I should start a new thread with more pics and discussion?
