Recently purchased some kenko extension tubes from ebay.
Now just need some bugs/spiders to fly in the house.

Most recently, for the aircraft buffs. Thursday at Farnborough. In the face of a hangover and some appalling light.
The frames are as they came off the camera, with the exception of white balance on the last one being cooled off a smidge.
Flying spiders are a pretty nightmarish proposition!
Lot's of fun to be had with your new toys, get creative! Would love to see the results.
Here's some flying of an altogether more gentle nature.

I wanted to go on Sunday as it was actually sunny,but my mate could only make Saturday!!

Some from the airshow. Using an old A200 and a screw driven Sigma 135-400MM lens(also known as the slow one) hand held.
The props on the V22 seem to move quite quickly. Even at well under 1/100 they would not blur.

you mean slowly? 1/100 with fast moving props = disc
first 3 images could do with some 'lift' as they seem pretty lifeless, but well done for putting up with the slow focusing

It was raining for most of the day,so the light was pretty awful and they do need more "zest" but I suspect Mr Noise will start rearing his ugly head.

noise? go pick up a 1980's National Geographic and sit and study the photos in that..

I used to shoot with film before(Konica Impressa 50 and the higher ASA Kodak Supra ones),so perhaps I should not be complaining!!heh, figured it might have been

Sadly my inspiration to take photos of aeroplanes tends to disappear with the available light. By the time the Super-Hornet took off at the end of the programme, I had long given up. My 28-300mm struggles to produce a sharp image at the distances involved. Without a bit of colour and some texture from the sky, I am left with, as my disinterested good lady would put it, just another blurry grey plane on a flat grey background
The T50 shot was the best I managed on the day and it's not exactly great
The infuriating thing Thursday was the weather was glorious when we arrived but we had commitments to meetings. As soon as the flying started in the afternoon, the weather turned and only got worse.I wanted to go on Sunday as it was actually sunny,but my mate could only make Saturday!!
Oh well, hopefully better luck at Paris next year.
