I love everything about that apart from the lamp bob!

I love the light from it, just not the physical device. Yet leaving the ball of light would look odd too.
Nothing to be done about it in PP - and it's still a great pic.
Were it possible to reshoot I'd maybe try one of two things - either show more the lamp and make it look like a classic flash lamp to provide some studio glamour (ie move it further back and slightly to left so we see the stand), or find some way to get that dynamic light without the body of the lamp, yet without it looking like a ball of light at the same time! Tricky - maybe having it closer but also further to left of frame so the body can be cropped out leaving the light to bleed in behind the model still. Don't know - would be fun to play with.

Bought a macro lens a couple months ago and this is the first time I've used it :>
Jpeg straight from camera. No PP.

My first attempts at macro taken at my local common, what do you think? The bee was shot using a sigma 1.4 tc.
