    City link are useless

ok this is more of a rant which i personaly think scan should look into BIG TIME. customer support was brilliant there is not fault with scan at all but city link.....so heres the story,

my item was due to arrive on wednesday last week, signed for, it got to 4 and i noticed it wasnt here still of course, no note thru the door or anything, so i went onto the city link website and i was very shocked to find it was saying that the driver had attempted to deliver! now unfortunatly for scan my sister works for them so i can get inside info on what was really going on, turns out there pretty known for doing this.....anyway the guy who "tried" to deliver my item had said he did try to deliver it at 2.30 somthing well, there was 4 people in the house at the time and of course no city link van came down my cul - de - sack! the driver in qeustion was asked what colour door we had just to confirm if he really did try to deliver and do you know what he said? brown he said BROWN!! i have a blue door? this guy has really anoyed me. i work all day so i took the day of and because he couldnt be bothered to look for my house i didnt get my parcel and had to have anouther day of, not impressed so i really think you should offer more deliver services, like parcel force and such as i hate city link this is the second time i have used them and the second time they have messed me around, if i didnt check on the website i would of been waiting for ages, hopfully the guy who did this got alot of beef for being such an idiot, i will find out soon enough mind thanks to the sis!,

but other than that im a happy chappy with a uber fast new i5 system!

so is the a posibility to a different delivery service?? and has anyone else had this problem?

    Re: City link are useless

This forum is for customers only, but Biscuit and PeteSmith have jumped in already so it's going to need to be moved or tidied up.

Delivery issues are isolated. yes you see a lot on here, but think about it, Scan are delivering hundreds of thousands of parcels all round the country with CityLink, and as a percentage I would guess the issues are tiny.

Every courier firm has its problems, simply switching to another courier would not solve these issue. An in fact they would likely increase for a period during a transition. Not to mention the likely increase in cost of postage to all using Scan.

When the Scan guys get in tomorrow they will probably ask for your invoice number so they can handle this through official channels.

In the mean time, can we please stick to the forum rules from now on?

If anyone believes that changing courier would resolve issue's like this you are mistaken.
