Had a friend of mine go off on a rant against Scan and DPD for a similar issue, consecutive components being damaged. You have to remember that delivery to consumer is only the final link in a long chain of shipments a product goes through.

Not necessarily, dents, and even small holes, could go unnoticed given the large number of shipments scan will have to deal with every day.
