a completely business like act this has nothing to do with customers it makes good business sense to do it
although i find it quite funny how everyone kisses scans a*se when they do this but half of the people kissing a*se were moaning about how bad scans delivery system was 6 months ago but thats all forgotten

all it takes is free carriage to buy ignorance
I think Scan are listening to what people want and this guarantee's customers to get the G0 stepping over the B3 one so Scan are doing a good service that many places don't as it would be pot luck in buying a Q6600. To say people are kissing their backside is totally rubbish. I have over the last few weeks been critical of Scan and they have resonded sometimes to my satisfaction and sometimes not (saying that 90% is City-Link Related) and I think it's great that they listen. Free shipping is also good as most IT retailers are pretty expensive for shipping. At the end of the day Scan are in the business of making money and it would be stupid to say otherwise but they do it better than most in terms of support and pricing. Whilst I'm not always happy with Scan most of the time they try to resolve problems but nothing is perfect. Now get my joystick replacement sent out...

There might be people giving positive feedback here but you can bet your bottom dollar that if there is a mess up up, they will be onto Scan like a shot. Giving positive feedback only really works if you are unable to criticise Scan! Call it human nature!

On some supplier forums, you can't even discuss shop related matters so consider yourself fortunate that we are able to interact with Scan this way.

Criticism is always welcome but you need to maintain professionalism rather than turning it into some kind of personal rant. Nobody is perfect but it is how you go about correcting it that really makes the difference.

why thanks for that chris although did find it mildly funny how people will slag you off on a forum for simply disagreeing with there point of view

and for my initial post mate never meant anything bad about scan was simply pointing out that this offer was not the be all and end all as some people are acting like

overall i am pleased with scan even if your turnaround can be a little slow and that you occasionally send out the wrong items all have been dealt with quickly and helpfully

Erm, corect me if I'm wrong but isn't using stars to avoid the filters explicitly forbidden in the rules? Hope you're not going to have to ban yourself

Edit: oh, hang on - you mean you removed the starred words. Where's the button to plonk myself?

The Sadist & His Masochist ....

Since nobody breathes for another, the proper way to maintain good relations is through the happy medium of guarded selfishness. When we act against or for another, we are showing our bias which has little to do with who or what the other party is. It is merely a personal bias. A public entity like a business, because it is dealing with many, automatically invites interaction from the public at large .

Likes or dislikes is a personal matter and Scan deals with all on an individual level and they do it for one reason only and that is to attract future business because they are not a charity. The maturity of its business model will dictate how successful it becomes [or are] but that is for the individual to judge. To influence others for or against means bonding which is good news for a business. There will always be pros and cons but the ultimate duty of each buyer is to ensure his own advantage comes first.

There is no need to be for or against, just listing the facts will do and one main fact is that every action that a business undertakes is for self gain and nothing else. Whether we know it, agree with it, or not. An entity’s strength is only tested when it is asked to perform “off-design”/at the limits of its capability and when that happens, it will reveal its true nature, whether it is a sadist, a masochist or a balanced and fair example for all to follow. That’s one reason why that if a god or God exists and He is reputed to be every where and everything to all, almost no one had ever seen Him. That failure is not because He doesn’t exist, it’s because we are too busy being a sadist or a masochist to notice where Truth lies.

We can only judge others properly when we have successfully judged ourself first, and not the other way round. Scan is just an entity and like all entities, the old financial hard sell warning applies and that is, “Past performance is no guarantee of future results”. Take every purchase as your first with no bias of for or against and you’ll have no reason to become sadistic or masochistic when the system goes “busoms up”. The modern “Chosen Few” idea of justice through plying on the greed card by way of “solicitors”, compensation and similar tricks-of-justice, is the same card that makes everybody blame others for everything, including our health which the quacks and their sadistic Big Pharma masters are only too happy to comply. Perpetual income is finally within their grasp and a close second to those who indulge in the fashion of being great, the masochistic religious nutters.

But it surely can't be much longer? I'm hoping we'll get word on stock this week, maybe two to four days before stock is expected. Certainly I'll be surprised & more than a bit annoyed if this drags on for more than another fortnight - not when the rest of the world seems to be getting a steady supply of the new steppings.
