    just a heads up guys, if you want a cheap conroe board to play with in the meantime

    check out the asrock twins HDTV board, if its a revision 2.0 it supports conroe out of the box. i picked one up REALLY CHEAP today. Normal price is around the £35-£40 mark

    Its working a charm with my 6600 out of the box.
    It has no vcore adjustments but it will do me till the bad axe comes in.

    Lee can probs check it out

    So is the general opinion that this is likely to be the most stable of the Conroe boards available at launch? I was going to go for a Asus board, but as I'm looking fot the most stable mobo rather than the best overclocker should I go Intel?

    Not unless zak33 sends me his tardis to play with as that too is currently out of stock at the present time, but they are showing as due tomorrow so I'll check them when they arrive and have been booked in.

    Righty-ho

    I'm back from lunch and guess whats on my desk...

    1 of the Asrock boards and on it in HUGE letters is Conroe & Presler and near the memory DIMM slot is the following code ;

    Rev G/A 2.03 and above this is the phrase "Intel 04B and 04A" processors

    I hope this information helps
