    Hi,

I have one of these on order with Scan, when I was adding a few bit's to my order yesterday I was told they are expected around the 16th June, I just hope they are the 304 revision so I could move to a conroe in the future without major upgrades to the system.

I don't think they support conroe (from what I've read).

    Hi Robert,

I'd read that the 304 revision of the board will support Conroe.

Yes, but a dude over at the guru3d forums HAS one and he said it's physically impossible to use the 304 board without a hardware revision.

The 304 board will be fine and does support conroe. I think I'll wait for the Asus variation of a conroe supporting motherboard before I spend my money, never let me down asus.

Have you a link to that Robert.
I've just been browsing Guru3d's forums (something I rarely do), and it would appear that compgeek89, as an example of a long time member there, has a conroe CPU and 304 revision board.

Seems strange that the guy you reference to says that, as the Rev304 is a hardware revision...Could be just getting confused?

    Hey guys,

Just noticed that you've gone out of stock of these. Any ETA when you'll be getting them back in again. I have the $$ burning a hole in my pocket!

    Just wait for conroe?

Oh and FatalSaviour - I couldn't find the info when I re-read the site. I'm sure he said conroe wouldn't be supported without a pencil trick or something.

The conroe works PERFECTLY on the D975XBX board revision 304 WITHOUT any mods.

The only reason it wouldn't in older versions of the board is because it couldn't supply the correct vcore. They added a few components (which you can do yourself on non-304 boards), and now it's fully compatible.

Now scan, when you getting it back in - before i have to buy from dabs

We currently have no purchase order outstanding, I will pass this onto Purchasing now and update this thread once we have a confirmed ETA
