Post Re: Anyone used AWD-IT (HDMI Ltd) shop on Ebay?

I sent an order to "Micro-direct", same time as order placed with AWD-IT, arrived via royal mail within 3 days.(thats the way to do-it !!)

Yes Alex that was Threeeeee Dayyyys, (Yawn) By the time the penny drops we will be in 2010. Not long when compared to AWD-IT delivery times tho.

PS look on bright side by the time we receive our orders Alex's profit margin will be up around 50% due to delivery depreciation.

Yip but it was over the xmas period so i give them the benefit of doubt, when i rang the first time i was told that the royal mail was shut for xmas and the earliest they they would pick the item up was the 5/1/09.
What's got me ratteled is the fact that AWD has stopped me from logging on to my account,i could log on before todays phone call, but after the call i can't,is it just being petty or are they trying to hide something or is it the fact that the sound card has went up in price from £47 to £62 +vat

Thumbs up Re: Anyone used AWD-IT (HDMI Ltd) shop on Ebay?

After sending about 20 or 30 emails, this reply came back, which just goes to show that they do look at the emails but do not reply back to you, Congrats to this outstanding individual who finally learned how to reply to a customer who had paid for goods, oh and he also knows how to cancel an order more proficiently than processing one properly. Well done Alex you trained him well !!

Please understand that this is the busiest time of the year for us, we have enough emails and things to do without your mindless spamming.
Due to a warehouse issue this item cannot be shipped. I have cancelled this for you.

    Regards, Chris White

Seems like I might be up for a treat after reading your experiences now.
Placed an order with Awd-IT Tuesday morning 09:04, status Paid 09:06 and Printed 18:49 the same day. According to the site, both items in stock, but the order still have the status Printed.

This is the first time I order from them, and unfortunately I did not read any reviews before I placed the order.
I have not been in contact with Awd-IT yet, but reading this post I am getting concerned.

Same thing happened to me. Waited up to a week while it stayed at "Printed". This "week" I talk about is 7 working days, so around 9 days total. Decided to cancel it and cause a fuss over Paypal too because my emails to cancel were going ignored (3 days no replies).

Question Re: Anyone used AWD-IT (HDMI Ltd) shop on Ebay?

Meant to say in earlier posting, sent another email to them to refund paid amount to credit card and got an instant reply saying the card would be refunded there and then, shows that they do monitor email, and when they recieved 20 or thirty at once they thought they were in for trouble. People are better staying clear of them, stick to Ebuyer (brilliant) and have to say Micro-direct are good. By the way all, the main man's name for AWD-IT is .... ALEXIS GRECIAN

Re: Anyone used AWD-IT (HDMI Ltd) shop on Ebay?

Joind hexus just so I could chip in with my comments - the following was sent to Alex at AWD-IT today by email...

I must express my complete dissatisfaction with AWD-IT. I ordered parts to build a PC. I waited over 1 week before initially contacting them to find out what was happening with my 2 orders. I have spent over 2 hour’s cueing in their telephone system to talk to people. Emails are not answered in a timely manner / if at all. Parts have not arrived. Alternatives have been dispatched without my being informed / without my consent. Items have had to be cancelled and refunded due to lack of availability. Items were attempted to be substituted without the significant differences being explained. AWD-IT has been a shambles and I am still outstanding 1 item that is “in transit”. My next step will be to contact my credit card company.

I will see how he responds. So far I have had 4 refunds against my 2 orders - going for my 5th refund....

Re: Anyone used AWD-IT (HDMI Ltd) shop on Ebay?

Here we go - my 5th. refund on these 2 orders...this is the email I had back from AWD-IT...

Dear ……I have just tried to call you back but our phone system is playing up so I decided to email instead. I have just chased the item with Royal Mail and they said it’s still in transit. I’m not sure I believe them, would you like me to refund this or send you another? Thanks, Regards, xxxxx ADMI Ltd.

    Guess what I said...

I know it hardly makes any difference, especially on items with a lower price tag but wouldn't it be 15% VAT to be added rather than 17.5% VAT?

Or are "AWD-IT" still retailing at the old VAT rate, is that actually legal?

Thought I'd chip in on this one as well.

My previous PC died on my and I was looking to put another one together. Looked at AWD-IT (before I read these reviews!) and emailed them to ask some questions. After several days got a reply to say that I should give them a call. Tried to phone on numerous occassions and was held in a queue each time. Then emailed again to get answers to my questions. That was 3 weeks ago - no answer received! I assume they can afford to miss out on business. Thankfully, I read these reviews and went to Power Computing who provided excellent customer service and delivery.

Got to say here that I've recently ordered some RAM from them (through Amazon) to match the RAM already in the machine, and it arrived well packaged a couple of days later. So I know people have had problems, but they can get it right as well.

Well you all could try http://www.awd-it.com/scripts/default.asp which has a support forum www.tech-pc.co.uk . Does look a bit like a back room operation.
