Ok. I've tried:
multi: 6x
FSB: 402
VTT: 1.31V
NB everywhere: 1.43-1.58V
LTD Bus: 3x/5x
CPU features: all Disabled
It boots, it starts loading windows. It freezes when loading or bluescreens when going to login. I have no idea what I do wrong..
PCIex 101? 1.50v cpu?
My bios screens here @ 3.0 GHz: http://www.pcinpact.com/forum/index....owtopic=107153
Same settings @ FSB 402, excepted Vcore and NB @ 1.50v.
It helps?

Yes, PCI-E 101MHz, CPU does 3GHz @ 1.375V Prime Stable, and here it should do 2.4GHz without a single moan.
Yes, tried that, and practically everything else. Tried the BSEL mod too (shorting a couple of pins on the CPU t otry to make it detect as 1066 FSB instead of 800) but that had zero effect (still detected as 800) so that's either no good or I didn't do it properly. Might investigate that one further.
@Meatbix - afaik 650i recognizes CPU by a microcode and shorting BSELs will not work. 965 is older chipset and that trick does work. It's not 100% sure, but i'm feel quite confident in that matter.
Okay, it seems like it's my turn...
Started my machine last night and it locked-up starting Windows. After a couple of reboots, all causing lock-ups. I ended up backing the FSB down to 333 MHz, keeping everything else the same, and all was right in the world again.
I made no changes and it had be running stable for a couple of days. It was early evening, so the room temp wasn't a factor. In fact my temps have been high 30's at idle, mid to high 40's during gaming and low to mid-50's during stress testing.
I know it isn't much of a drop, but I was planning on going higher in the future.
Any suggestions?
Bests...
Hi folks,
Stumbled upon this thread while looking for issues with the fp-in9 sli. Nice thread with lots of good info/ updates.
I had general stability issues even @ stock. I could be playing music, watching a film or gaming and my system would suddenly reboot.
After reading every page I downloaded the Beta 13 BIOS and manually set some voltages and values, now my system seems to be a lot more stable.
I ran orthos overnight without issues and ran 3d'05 for X10 loops without issue.
I would just like to say thanks to everyone hear, before I found this thread I thought I was going to have to get another mobo.
Thanks again.
Gerry.
