sorry to be rubbish mate, but do you have a url for it? been searching for half an hour now and still cant find anything,

i have played with all the voltages, rations with ram etc, nothing can be altereed without it needed to be restarted twice, then it comes up with a message saying i am in safe mode f1 to continue or del to enter set up.

    hope this new bios helps.

    fingers crossed

    Hello

I had the same problem @ PCIex 100 MHz, resolved @ 101 MHz. Don't know why, but it works. Unable to pass FSB 250 before, 350 now, not tested further. Bios beta 13.

Thanks to your community for the help you provide to me with this board, I found many answers here

Still having an issue: when I turn the computer on after a long period off, Vcore is always @ 1.30v real (for any higher value in the bios), I had to reboot to recover the value set in the bios (minus Vdrop, of course ^^). Any idea?

Xcuses for my english, I'm french Hope you'll understand

[edit]I Try to boot @ PCIex 100 MHz to be sure, works fine now !!! Something has been unlocked @ PCIex 101???

I purchased this board a week ago as part of a combo deal (MB & E6420 for $259 USD A.R.), based on a on-line review that thought highly of it. While I was assembling, I started reading the forums to pick-up tips for O/C'ing. From what I read, I was pretty nervous and would have returned the board if I hadn't mailed in the rebate on day one.

Taking the advice of this forum (thank you all) I flashed my BIOS to the 1.3 Beta at the very start, set my PCIex to 101 and VDIMM to 2.2v. Left everything else at stock and started to load XP Pro and other software.

To date, I've had no problems. My SB Audigy card seems to be working fine too. I did push the CPU to 2.2 (@ stock) and encountered no errors. Ran out of time to go further.

What program(s) do you recomend I use to test the stability of my system? How long is considered stable? Any recomendations regarding settings for O/C'ing this CPU vs. the E6600? I'm not looking for bleeding edge numbers, would like to be betwen 2.7 & 3.0 Ghz.

To test stability I use Orthos mainly (for CPU), and 3dmarks or games to test RAM. In Orthos after 6h of small FFTs you can say it's somewhat stable. To overclock higher than 400FSB you probably will have to rise NB voltage to 1.24-1.28 to get stable. But I'm not sure. My board get FSB walled @ 375MHz with my E4300.

Thanks! I'll download those and try them out.

I had a little time last night. Got the CPU to 2.5 GHz (not impressive, I know) w/ linked ram @ 5-5-5-15-2T. If I get time today, I'll try 2.66 and run Orthos overnight.
