However, I can't help but think about the Nanode.
What you need though - to be fair - is a nanode based around a Pentium M or A64... Now that would kick arse. The VIA CPU + chipset sucks like a jet engine.

Really very expensive though. Equip one half decently and it comes out at £600! May look nice but way too expensive. This doesn't include a monitor either. I would spend a bit moe and get a new iMac or get a shuttle.

TBH all you need to get one up and running at decent speed is 512 MB, so 339 + 50 quid, which is not THAT expensive.

that's just too cute - they should've made wireless and bluetooth standard tho. me wants one - I personally think Apple is going to be hitting CE very hard this year.

my problem is that I just hate the UI - even when I was doing mac support I couldn't get my head around it.

I have my myth box running a 2.6 kernel and the avermedia dvb-t PCI card running really nicely. Not sure about USB 2 hardware tho...

    MythTV rules.

i wonder if big steve is thinking it too...

mac mini is the perfect form factor for a media center, and they could even work on an existing open-source project such as mythtv, the same way they worked on kde's konqueror to make safari.
