    Re: Bioshock Official Thread**Possible Spoilers**

Well, went to start the game again this morning but lo and behold it aint working yet again! I updated drivers to my soundcard last night to the latest version and now I have no sound except on the video scenes. Granted I don't have a great soundcard and I am using the onboard which is a Realtek HD, it works fine on absolutely everything else on my system except Bioshock.

Wish they would get this fixed. Damned annoying all round. Mind you I did notice that with no sound the game actually ran a lot smoother than what it has previously! They really need to get this sorted out, there are so many threads all over the net with the same issues as myself and various other problems virtually everyone is having. Bad thing for me is that it ran with sound last week. I am not wanting to install again as it will be he 4th time out of the previously mentioned 5.

    Just getting ridiculous

lol, some funny pics, the guy with the doll at his feet would be my winner cos the rest forgot about the little sisters

Did anyone take the camera seriously? On my first play through I pretty much ignored it, on my second play I am using it all the time and so far I can do extra damage against certain enemies/turrets/cameras, certain enemies/turrets/cameras give better loot, I have gained two tonics Sportsbost+2 so I am a lot faster, Natural Camouflage so I turn invisible when I stand still (like a ninja ^^) and the Houdini splicers are now easier to track.

So yeah, a lot more to this game than I first thought.

For those that have finished the game, came across the first 'little girl' today, would it be better to Harvest them all or let them live?
If you harvest you get more for your upgrades, but if you let them live your promised a 'big reward' at the end.
I don't want to know what that is just is it true and worth it?

If you save them they leave you presents near the vending machines. I think its every 3rd sister or something like that. One of the rewards is the Big Daddy plasmid which makes a big daddy fight for you for a limited time.

If you harvest them then you simply get a ton more adam. I am in arcadia and have a very powerful build, especially with using the camera all the time.

What I done is played through it once saving them all, now I am playing through again killing them all. Choose to do one then replay it and do the opposite.

Save them. Otherwise you feel guilty

The games so easy that you really dont need the extra adam to be honest. Your never in danger of running out ammo or eve for your plasmids.

Use the camera loads and you get extra gene tonics and bonuses.

Well, currently trying to get my Sound Blaster Live 5.1 to work under Vista to get rid of the onboard audio, sure thats where my problem lies. If not going to have to wait for an official patch that supports onboard.

Anyone got any ideas on a cheap decent soundcard that will work under Vista 64. Noticed that in general the Sound Blaster support is poor and the Terratec Aureon doesn't have supported Vista drivers.

That is genius! It's correct in every way! I love Bioshock but I also couldn't help thinking that it was almost identical functionally to System Shock 2.

'If your a PC gamer spoiled by more complex RPG'S then prepare for a kick in the balls - OK, not so hard a kick in the balls, being a kick in the balls with good graphics and the best of intentions, but you're still gonna walk funny'.

    Re: Bioshock Official Thread**Possible Spoilers**

Just finished it, would have sooner but I've gone a couple of weeks without playing it much, dunno why...

What a fantastic game. I loved the storyline. The ending seemed very abrupt, but the gameplay more than made up for it Stunning graphics and audio, very immersive and not a mindless game like Doom, Quake etc

    SPOILER:

Are there different endings? I kinda harvested some of the little girls early on then rescued the rest, and at the end the woman didn't seem too happy with me, there was a brief cutscene of the "surface" and a nuclear weapon.
Is there a different ending if you play differently? Don't tell me what it is, just how to do it
