I'm feeling really guilty and happy at the same time that I haven't run into a single problem yet on the pc
..Right, now that I've finished I can safely read this thread again
I have so many crashes and lockups its untrue, not since the release of Act of War have I had so many problems with a game - perhaps I need a dual core. Good story twists, I liked becoming a big daddy, that was fun, though all the little sisters hated me cos I tore them apart for Adam. Ending was pretty easy though. Time to go through again saving the sisters...
<wish I bought the xbox version >
What we share with everyone is glum, and dark...
GRrrrrrrrrrrr! I KNEW IT. Bloomin fools
Is old shool gaming dead? Games that where genuinely hard as hell and therefore dead addictive. Bleh. SS2 was a nightmare compared to modern games, and thats partly what I loved it. Oh well. I'll still get it anyway, but atleast I know to just play it on hard. Thanks
Behold!... the future of PC gaming.
p.s. Thanks for the little review. I was just about to ask for comments from someone who had played the SS games, and then I saw your review.

Yeah, it's a very good game indeed, which should have been legendary . A lot of things they have done make sense (e.g. the research system is much more accessible), however there are a number of things which I think are just pandering to the instant-satisfaction no-effort crowd who will be playing with their thumbs.
But using Telekinesis to nab Hypos from out-of-the-way places, or slotting the Wrench Jockey tonic to help you bash brains has a very very familiar feel to it
Like I said, I'm pinning my hopes on a decent editor/SDK being released - that could result in all sorts of cool stuff.
*cough* *ahem* Vista *wheeze* *cough*
Sorry

lol - no it's alright - i'm used to nVidia drivers now I've got Vista on the PC too so i'll give it a stab later in the week (I won't have time to play it till the weekend in any case). I've found some games work better under the nVidia XP drivers, some under the nVidia Vista ones..
Mine plays choppy for the first 10 mins or so then levels out and runs smooth and playable. Tweakguides now have a guide for Bioshock so going to take a look at that a little later to see if anything works for me. I am currently get the Big Daddys suit at Point Prometheus and guessing that I am not far off from the end at all.
Well, just finished it, thought the final boss was really easy and the ending was ok.
What is getting me at the min is when you are in the Bathysphere on previous levels it shows 8 destinations. Point Prometheus is the seventh and you never find out what the last one is, unless the boss is the last one.. Wondering if they are possibly going to do an expansion or a return to Rapture type thing.
Will be starting it again harvesting the little sisters and see what ending I actually get.
i havent finished it yet, just killed ryan and woke up in a room full of small children (the horror).
but, would any body else apart from myself actually flaming LOVE to play all threw rapture when it wasnt broken, when everything was open, like the game Ship, but in rapture
eh?
This hot girl came over to myspace last night, she twittered my yahoo till I

Weird - quoting myself - but an update: my BSOD was because of my intel RAID drivers (under XP) a quick update and the game now runs fine. I can't play it in Vista because creative's drivers are TERRIBLE. On Vista 64 they just output white noise to all channels (if you've got 4 gig) - the workaround is the set the total memory in msconfig BUT then you've still got horrible popping and crackling. I'm so sick of creative's mediocre driver team.
